Is there an option anywhere to auto fullscreen apps? It's quite annoying whenever I want to open safari to have to press the button each time, it would be cool for it to auto fullscreen.

If you put Safari in fullscreen, close the app, and then re-open it, it will open in full screen automatically.

Got a new wallpaper thank you :D

I mean for this to be a systemwide option where it will put every fullscreen app you open in a separate space, and fullscreen it. Can that be done?

If the app supports fullscreen and supports the new "Resume" feature, then yes, it will work.

There is no specific option for this to happen at this time (at system level)

just finished downloading, works great!

Great news! Thanks.

I still hope frontrow is gonna make its way back in the next build! What's up apple you can't just take away features like that!?? I'm a movie fan I really loved being able to launch frontrow and casually watch all the movie previews!

They should at least give it as an optional download on the appstore.. I know it wasn't the most popular app and some people might need all the extra space they can get..

Performance improvements:

1. Previously, when one used to open the app, the app would open as a picture with a processing image and then come to action in 2-3 seconds or maybe more. This is removed in this update as I see it. When you start an app or do anything, it first recovers all the require data and then opens the app completely. A great user experience improvement in my opinion.

2. For most people, Safari was unusable before. Safari is fine now. Although there are some gripes, overall it feels good and is very usable. Safari Version - 5.1 (7534.34.4)

3. The overall usage is just awesome. I cannot explain how the OS has been awful on low specced machines. But as expected, it was supposed to get better and now with DP3, its become exceptionally well. It just works great.
Very smooth on MacBook Late 2008 [standard without upgrade].

4. LaunchPad is now closer to perfectness. There are no issues with making folders. The animation is gone but it feels very smooth. No problems at all. There's an extra Utilities folder which is empty. But it doesn't bother me as I don't use LaunchPad.

5. Launching Mission Control has become smoother but still requires a lot of work. A lot.

6. As explained in Pt.1, launching of apps can take some time as it caches the app+data/document completely.

7. The login is pretty smooth and going from the login screen to the home screen is awesome. It's plain but it makes a lot of sense. Might witness a delay but its worth the wait.

This looks great! Can't wait till I can get my hands on a retail copy! I hope it is as cheap as the Snow Leopard Update but I doubt it, can only hope!

Serious optimisation here. Safari is much less messed up now. Everything is much smoother on my lowly old iMac. This is shaping up to be a great release. :D

Loving all the updates. The log in screen is nice too. I like the animation. Are we getting a new start up sound in stead of the one now?

Deleting Apps from LaunchPad

Looks like my old trick to delete apps doesn't work anymore. Anyone know what black magic we need to do now to remove unwanted apps? I've noticed some with x's but not all of them, notably all the system **** I don't want on my LaunchPad. Who really needs Stickies and Calculator on their LaunchPad? Who even uses that **** anymore lol

Does anyone know how fast the iCal page curling is? Or if there there will be an option to disable it? It seems like it would be slow with that animation on...
