Can we get a re-up on these wallpapers? This current link was closed off.

Give me like 10 minutes and I'll make it happen.

Does anyone know how fast the iCal page curling is? Or if there there will be an option to disable it? It seems like it would be slow with that animation on...

It's actually not that speedy. No option to disable.

Could someone please post a high resolution version of the forest-in-mist wallpaper pleeeease? :)

it's a smooth animation unlike the adaptive ones on ibooks etc

If anyone wants the new wallpapers, I have uploaded it here: http://d.pr/zKZ7

I mean, is switching between the months faster than snow leopard or slower?

Aww, well I'm hoping they will get around to speeding it up eventually. I use months a lot on iCal surprisingly.

Wallpapers? iCal?

Can we get some updates on how the system stuff works or has changed?

How well does full-disk encryption work? Does Time Machine choke on it?

What about the new not-Samba SMB support?

What about the previously-Server-only features? How well do they integrate with the so-called "client" OS? Has anyone tried using it as an actual server?

/would try it myself but am too cheap to spring for developer

One really annoying thing about Lion is that there's no separate "Save/Don't Save" panel.

Before, if you tried to close an unsaved document it would ask you if you wanted to save or not, and you could hit Enter to save and then choose the filename and where to save or, or hit Command-D to quickly get rid of it.

Now they've combined the Save panel so that you can no longer hit Command-D to quickly close out unsaved documents (because that selects "Desktop" in the save panel).

Kind of annoying.

Wow I was confused at first about the Don't Save thing & now that I understand it — yeah I can see how that's going to be annoying!

I noticed on the pull down in that screen shot they are still using a colorful "Leopard"-esque icon next to "Desktop," & not the desaturated ones now shown in Finder.

it has been mention earlier in this thread that there was a new "mission control" preference under system preferences. I do not see it anyone else experiencing this? I tried "customize" but it didn't show up for me to put a tick mark.

Hold down the "Show All" button and see if Mission Control shows up.

It has the same icon has the old Expose & Spaces prefpane, double check you're not overlooking it.

If I had a spare Mac, I'd install Lion in a heartbeat. But as it is, I only have a single machinet that my family uses daily. :(

Looks like gfxstatus is broken again.

I have mission control.
