Finally a proper log in screen!!!!!!!!!

Only thing that sucks about the new login screen is you can't select accounts with the keyboard. Might be a bug.

It's way worse on the camera than on the actual screen...
Yeah, I know the discoloration is due to the cameras. But even in person grey seems to pull out the inconsistencies more than other colors. Granted, we have had grey boot screens for next to forever, I'm just saying... ;)

Looks like Apple is dropping the AirPort name for wireless on computers. Just like the iPhone, all wireless settings are now just labeled Wi-Fi. This is the case in the menu bar icon and System Preferences. The AirPort Utility for base stations is still present of course

Is it new that you can have a separate wallpaper for each space now? I don't recall trying or seeing it earlier.

Tiny bug for me: I liked being able to click a space and see a smaller preview below before switching to it. I don't have that option now it seems.

Nope, been there since the first beta.

What is this? Mobile Backups. Never seen it before and there are no external drives attached to my Mac.

It's been around since the first release. It relates to the "Local Snapshots" feature in "Time Machine" (not iPhone backups, which are located in ~/Library/Application Support/MobileSync/). Still being fleshed out.

Haven't downloaded yet. Any official word on third party Sandforce SSD support and OpenGL 3+?

Safari is WAY faster than in Preview 2. Everything is instantaneous it used to take about 2 seconds.

Exactly what I have noticed, on my mid-2009 MBP I can see a very noticeable performance boost.

Seems to me that Lion is getting quite close to a GM now. Just a bit more polish and I think it's about done.

Can anyone say if the "Hide Toolbar" option works in fullscreen Safari again like it did in the Developer Preview 1 -- so that the address bar isn't showing and the webpage contents take up the whole screen?

I'm not sure what you mean, but here's a picture of the full screen safari.

Can anyone else confirm that you can't download a java runtime through the java preferences utility anymore? I just updated to DP3 and now everything that uses Java is broken. The utility attempts to download a runtime but tells me that its not available right now. Anyone else having this issue?

Thanks, but -- with Safari in fullscreen, if you hit "View" at the top of the screen and then "Hide Toolbar" this might or might not hide the address bar that's visible in that screenshot. I know that in DP1 this would work, but then after I think the first update, we were stuck with the address bar at the top.

Yes, you can do that. It looks quite neat!
Thanks for the tip!
