Yes, you can do that. It looks quite neat!
Thanks for the tip!

Woooh! Good to know. Thank you. :)

By the way -- when it did work in DP1 -- I set up a keyboard shortcut of command+' (apostrophe/quotation key) to quickly hide and unhide the toolbar. It worked quite well.

I'm not sure what you mean, but here's a picture of the full screen safari.

How did you get the macrumors website to be as wide as your screen? I have the "fluid" option turned on, and it's wider than the the "fixed" option, but it's still substantially narrower than my browser window.

Try the "fluid HD" at the bottom of the main page. :D

Yup, that did it, thanks. I can't imagine why Arn & Co. would put in a "fluid" *and* a "fluid HD" option. Everyone will either want it to be the fixed width, or to fill up their whole browser window, and no one will want that in-between option. Everyone who has it set to the middle-fluid setting are probably just unaware that there's another option that they would prefer more.

Agreed. I wanted it to fill up the whole browser window and didn't understand why the "Fluid" option was still "fixed". So yes, I now switched to "fluid hd" after this was pointed out.. Thanks.

I'm surprised by the number of people who seem to be liking the new login screen. Not too crazy about it based on the pictures I've seen. Grey seems to show the inconsistencies of a monitor really badly (well?).

People like change, I personally prefer the previous Login screen with the wallpaper on the back

Crashy McCrash Crash.

Chrome installer crashes, Flash installer crashes, Safari is constantly locking up on me, Spotlight is stalling.

Looks like this is a bug-finder build.

I do like the new wallpapers but I always just use my own.

It's not my favorite either. Not because of the grey, I actually like that, I just don't like the layout of the Apple logo and then the icon under it.

Very nice update :D however still a few bugs around you notice when using it.. quite a bit to go, but pretty stable.

right click menu for closed System Prefs still doesnt work :( and i really like that assign to desktop (spaces) menu is back in an app's dock menu.

new features that might not have been said:

- new boot screen before desktop/login screen which is a bit updated & modern
- you can now just click once on desktops in Mission Control to go to them
- esc exits full screen in most apps now, although a little slow and buggy in Safari
- no scroll over Dock icon now for recent items
- no holding Dock icon for app windows Exposé, but can still click Show All Windows in the Dock icon
- tabs show in Safari while in full screen

Finally updated. Loving the new wallpapers. I usually use my three display wallpapers but changed each display to its own Lion pic. The beach one, sigh...

There are lots of little tweaks, from improvements in mission control to even the "Display" menubar icon (now it's the shape of the current display line and not the older ACD's from... four years ago :p ).

Still need to fix the "About This Mac" "Storage" info, most file types list as "Other" (oddly the previous build seemed fixed). Might be just me.

"Back to my Mac" now has its own Finder sidebar location in "Shared." Finally, "MobileBackups" is gone from the Finder sidebar.

Right clicking in a Finder window shows a new "Clean Up By" option.

Course Cut and Copy/Paste is still there, hopefully Apple won't pull it out of the GM build :)

Still not in love with the white Quicklook window, miss the black HUD.

... also, anyone know what this is in the bottom left hand corner (never noticed it before)?:

Lastly, Finder sidebar desperately needs color like Madonna seeking Susan... just saying'...

UPDATE: Safari is whacked for me. Keeps freezing with the reload or go back option, and for some reason my pics in this post aren't displaying on my end...

Interesting, wonder what became of local snapshots.

.... Oh, and the "CDs & DVDs" System Preference is gone, as is the DVD app, cause, you know, "they're a bag of hurt" j/k :p

Gotta say, every time I see those square buttons in the dialogs, I'm a bit irritated. It looks like crap. I really hope they axe that.
