Does it fix screen glitches and freezing?

Any news on the MacBook Pro (early 2011) and the flickering 24" Cinema Display issues?

Thats what i'm testing now since this was the only mild issue i was having. When i first finished the update and restarted as normal i got a blackout. However i have since cleared all caches, shutdown, disconnected all cables, done an SMC/PRAM reset and fingers cross thus far it seems fine. No blackouts and no glitches.

Still keeping an eye out though because i'm a skeptic and because the first rushed update rarely solves the problem when it comes to Apple.

Sidenote: No freeze or crash under load either...but then again i never had those issues prior to the update.

I wish i remembered to take a snapshot of Sys Profiler prior to the update to know whats changed. Darwin/Kernel version seems to have moved to 10.7.3 as far as i can tell.

no changes for me :(

this still does not fix the issues on the new MacBook Pro 2011 models (15" 2.3ghz) - just tested on the two machines we have here. Still they are getting too hot, constantly the fans are blowing (testing with Transmission/Bittorrent downloading the Ubuntu DVD). Also we had two freezes already (only under heavy load). I am posting updates on our findings to our blog ( http://j.mp/dLSqgy ) - and we are still waiting for replacements from apple.

wondering this too...can anyone confirm security patch is included in 10.6.7? and what is a combo update, always wondered?

Combo update will install 10.6.7 on every version of 10.6 from 10.6.0-10.6.6. Basically it's a shortcut to avoid multiple 'normal' updates (called Deltas). It's also purported to be more stable to install a combo update in case any of the previous updates are currently incomplete for whatever reason.

Had it on for about 40 or 50 minutes. No new issues. Actually seems faster throughout the OS. 64-bit Safari issue with Flash and Youtube still not fixed.

Thanks but whaaa?? Laymans terms? What do I do to get them back?

Also, any idea what was updated in mail from 4.4 to 4.5?

Not sure what they updated in mail but this is what you need to do with those 2 UUID numbers -

If the plugin already got moved to ”~/Library/Mail/Bundles (Disabled)/” move it back to ”~/Library/Mail/Bundles/” (~ refers to your User folder)

Open ”~/Library/Mail/Bundles/NAME OF PLUGIN/Contents/Info.plist” with the Property List Editor (I prefer PlistEditPro) (to see the contents folder right click on the file and choose show contents)

Insert the two UUIDs under SupportedPluginCompatibilityUUID and save the document

Start the Mail APP and be happy :)

I'll also update my original post with this information so others will see it.

Just installed it on all my Macs. The App Store seems to be working better now. I can install updates with no problems. Before the updates I used to get error messages and couldn't update apps.

Granted my 2.1 macbook has the intel 950 video but I've been getting this bit of laggy finder performance like whenever I select an item and send to trash its not instantaneous like it used to be for example.
Maybe this'll fix that.
