I used these 2 terminal commands to get terminal to post them for me.

cat /Applications/Mail.app/Contents/Info.plist | grep UUID -A 1

cat /System/Library/Frameworks/Message.framework/Resources/Info.plist | grep UUID -A 1

After each one is run it will display the updated UUIDs

Awesome. Yeah, I probably could have figured that out if I'd thought about it. In any case, thanks!

THIS HAS FIXED MY MACBOOK PRO EARLY 2011 CRASHING PROBLEM!

Maxed out 8 x yes > dev/null/

running on AMD gfx and my mac crashed within seconds before update

Been running for 7 mins at 99'c and not a problem!!

Well done Apple! :D

I can also confirm this on my part!

Well as a newbbie I think I will wait and see what is going on with you guys before I try to update mine, I would be lost as hell trying to fix it if something goes wrong..

So if we have the latest developer seed we don't need this update? Is it EXACTLY the same?

Kernel

The Lion is not that far away, this summer, can't you here is ROAR?

Don't know if it's significant, but I noticed that whereas the Kernel for 10.6.6 was listed as 'Darwin 10.6', that listed for 10.6.7 is 'Darwin 10.7.0'....

Just updated my MBP 13" (2011) i7 with a Phoenix Pro SSD!

Everything seems to be ok so far but i notice an increase in boot time!

Before the update: 18s
After the update: 22s

Sadly, if the update has indeed screwed over the 3rd party adapters, then theres nothing you can do about it but buy a supported (i.e. made by apple) device.

The cheap monoprice.com miniDP -> DVI adapters (~$6) work fine after the update, fwiw, so this isn't some plot on Apple's part.

Apple today released Mac OS X 10.6.7, the seventh maintenance update for Snow Leopard, via Software Update. The update offers a number of fixes implemented since the release of Mac OS X 10.6.6 in early January.

That all oaky but when is Lion coming out?

Question: Improves brightness?

The update states that it Improves brightness on external displays and projectors...

Can anybody elaborate on this? there's no info in the Apple site.

Is this only for Apple displays? I don’t see any changes in the display system preferences or in the brightness of my 24" HP display.

Thanks

Well here's to wishing they would have fixed the screen flickering issue! Just when I thought it was fixed it has already flickered twice. Running a 2011 15" base quad on a 24 ACD. Heres to Apple for not knowing what they are doing once again!

I notice a lot of people talk about their CPU temps as being in the low 40's/50's (C). I have an early 2011 15" / i7 2.3ghz and according to iStat it usually sits at about 61C when not doing a lot, and will happily rise to 80/90 if I'm smashing it.

I'm not particularly worried but it seems like a big difference to what seems to be the 'usual' - might my thermal grease be poorly applied?
