Apple today released macOS Mojave 10.14.1, the first major update to the macOS Mojave operating system available on Apple's Mac lineup. macOS Mojave 10.14.1 comes a little over a month after the release of the macOS Mojave update.

macOS Mojave 10.14.1 can be downloaded by going to the "Software Update" section of System Preferences, a new installation method that was introduced with the Mojave update.

The 10.14.1 update introduces support for Group FaceTime, a feature that was removed during the beta testing period. Group FaceTime, which lets you chat with up to 32 people at once, is also available in iOS 12.1.

macOS Mojave 10.14.1 brings more than 70 new emoji characters that are also available in iOS 12.1 and watchOS 5.1. There are new options for red hair, curly hair, no hair, and gray hair, along with characters to represent superheroes, cold face, party face, pleading face, and face with hearts.

There are a number of new animals and food items like kangaroo, parrot, lobster, mango, lettuce, and cupcake. Tweaks have been made to some existing emoji as well. The iPhone emoji, for example, has been updated to look like the iPhone X with no bezels or Home button.

Anyone having an issue where edited Live photos synced to MacOS Mojave via usb are not syncing back to their iPhone Xs iOS 12 through iTunes (Live within the MacOS photos app). The picture sync's just not the live feature, non edited live photos synced just fine. Not sure if this is limited to Mojave, iOS 12, new iTunes or the new iPhone Xs.

I have tried un-syncing and re-syncing, Repairing photo library, rebuilding iPod photo cache with the the photos library, and restoring my iPhone and still have the issue. Thanks!!

how to you make the new apple store app check for updates? Hit apple-R to reload the Updates page? Hard to tell if it's working....

Ok, now I can start enjoying that Mojave stuff again, as I'm finally able to replace my unsupported MacBook Air. RIP!

I forgot they moved update back to System Preferences and went to the App Store too  I like the move back to Prefs but it might take me an update or two to remember!

I'm downloading it in the hopes of fixing the 2 MIN cold book ridiculousness when using external SSD as a boot drive on USB3.

Something I discovered, that may help you guys out if your download is slow.

If the download started fast but then slowed to a crawl, try stopping the transfer, then restarting it. In my case it started downloading full speed again and finished right away.

Is there a direct link? I'm on the beta and the update does not show in System Preferences.

Edit: After a couple of attempts, it found the update.

Can anyone be a pal and test Office365 integration with 2FA? Mine never worked on 10.14.0 (it would start to sync contacts, mail, etc. and then delete the account before it completed).

After updating to 10.14.1, my Logitech Circle 2 HomeKit camera just shows a black preview image in the Home app. However I can view it in full view and it shows correctly. Works fine on iOS 12.1. Wonder if they broke something...

Also new Safari version, up to 12.0.1.

Wow, both of my Macs are experiencing crawling downloads...tied the suggestion above but still crawling!
