I installed (updated to) 11.3 this morning and so far everything has been working as expected. Bonus: got updated AMD video drivers.
I did after I did a regular update. I did a clean update afterward.Anyone else get a relocated items folder on their desktop after updating? Never got this before, only file that's in the folder is "group.system_default"...what should I do with it?
Why would you need an app for that when Safari has supported custom style sheets natively since forever? So, if someone also can't stand font smoothing, here is how you can disable it on newer Safari versions:
1. Download any app, that allows injecting custom styles for web pages (I'm using Cascadea).
2. Creat a CSS style that applies to all webpages with following:
CSS:html { -webkit-font-smoothing: antialiased; }
3. You're good to go.
Yes. Any wireless speaker is useless as a computer speaker. That's nothing new.But the fact that there is still a 2-3 second delay with the audio with 14.5 running on the HomePod Mini from
macOS 11.3 renders HomePod Minis useless as computer speakers.
Really? I will be testing Creative Pebble V3 with BT5.0. I will post here if there’s any lag from macOS 11.3 to the Pebble V3 via Bluetooth.Yes. Any wireless speaker is useless as a computer speaker. That's nothing new.
Yeah for me too, dare I say snappier? Seriously tho, my Intel Air had a smoother Safari, much better in 11.3Is it me or the janky scrolling issue on Safari is gone?
The Pebbles have USB cables for computer connectivity for a reason. Bluetooth is for device audio playback only.Really? I will be testing Creative Pebble V3 with BT5.0. I will post here if there’s any lag from macOS 11.3 to the Pebble V4 via Bluetooth.
It is still present on the forum. Is it me or the janky scrolling issue on Safari is gone?
Explains why I can't get my HomePods to update.lol. update server(s) are hammered. i keep getting download failures.
I can confirm that iMazing and Apple Configurator 2 side-loading is no longer working on 11.3For those wondering about sideloading, using iMazing or apple config 2 don't work any more, but you are able to use AppDB's rickpactor to install iOS apps on your M1. Extract the .IPA from your iOS device using apple config 2 or iMazing, upload it, and install it via rickpactor. You can upload custom .IPAs (you may have got them from a website or the ipas you extracted from your iOS device), or use the ones from AppDB's website.
here's how to do it. Works great in 11.3 despite this being an older video, the publisher also published a video demonstrating using it in 11.3. I just linked the older one cause it showed how to install custom .IPAs imported from iMazing or other places.
I'm tagging those who had a question about sideloading in 11.3 earlier in this chat or said that it wasn't possible:

Wish I would have read that somewhere before upgrading!
Then I found appdb and was able to install an app via Rickpactor... but a short while later, it stopped working saying that the code signing certificate was invalid. I think Apple revoked the signing cert that they use. They can re-sign everything, but it will probably break again at some point.
Anyone else know of a way to side-load now on 11.3/M1?
I managed my iphone, but it was early morning Australia time when i did it, now it is business hours and everyone is likely doing it at workExplains why I can't get my HomePods to update.
What do you use it for? Genuinely curious.I haven't seen anybody report this, but for me the biggest news is that snooze options are back for calendar notifications!!!!!!
We shall see.The Pebbles have USB cables for computer connectivity for a reason. Bluetooth is for device audio playback only.
how you know 11.3 has updated AMD video drivers?I installed (updated to) 11.3 this morning and so far everything has been working as expected. Bonus: got updated AMD video drivers.
Can you explain how it was broken?BE AWARE...
If you are using Thunderbolt Bridge - DO NOT UPGRADE TO 11.3!
Thunderbolt Bridge is completely screwed up in 11.3, and only fixed in 11.4 Beta.
I had a similar issue with my M1 16 GB MBA. I was unable to open apps after the update installed. After 3 restarts, the computer started working normally again...this was a painful update for my M1 8gb MacBook Pro, it seem to hang for about an hour, went to recovery, then restarted and finally finished
