Mine failed with an error. I restarted from scratch and it's now downloading at a good speed.
Edit: I may have spoken too soon, stalled again. Oh well, it was a quick GB, just 11 more to go!

You would think with a billion iPhones out in the wild, apple could handle macs getting an OS upgrade.

Im on there RC2 And don't get any updates when checking manually on System Preferences. I need to go through the appstore to download the new Public Build. I tried un enrolling and rolling again nothing helps(Dev. Seed). Only available through app store. Takes too long for me. Guess I try tomorrow again since its not a huge change in build number.

I have been downloading Big Sur for almost an hour now and I have only hit 566.2 MB out of 12.18 GB total. UGH!!!
I restarted the download at 770MB. Now back at 377.5 and stuck there. 😂

After receiving the error after hitting 1GB, I tried starting over again. It stalled out at 220.2MB. So, I restarted my MBP, and tried again from scratch. And yet again, it has stalled at 220.2 MB, giving me a 2-day estimate to complete. Seriously, Apple needs to do something with their servers.
The delay is most likely due to it translating from German... it's thinking, "the verb man... gimme the verb!"

This is an utter embarrassment. All of the streaming services can handle everyone hitting it at once when a new TV show or movie is released. Apple can't handle an OS upgrade?
