Does this resolve the issue in Music in which I back out of an album and the Library automatically goes to the very top of the page? If I'm in an artist that starts with a "T", I shouldn't have to scroll all the way back down to the "T's" starting from "A".

Someone let me know if this fixes the bug where files saved don't show up in Finder until you refresh or force quit finder.

This. I exported a ton of photos from Lightroom into a folder and it wasn't there. When I exported them again, Lightroom was going to overwrite the files. So they were there, but I couldn't see them.

I hope it fixes photos syncing for albums in folders....

edit: It does NOT fix syncing albums in folders or displaying those albums on Apple TV.

I don't know if there has ever been a more useless app than the TV App on the Mac.

The only real purpose of it any more is the Up Next feature (since the entire rest of the app was turned into an advertising platform)...and that feature is worthless on the Mac since none of the connected services that exist on iOS are on the Mac.
it also contains your personal video library of local files. Granted, it’s not particularly nice or user friendly. But it’s there ...

Stuck on downloading phase for me. Anyone else?
Yep it paused at about 2.09 out of 3.46, then 2.9, and it seems to remain stuck at 3.40 our of 3.44. I had to cancel the download each time to get it unstuck and "redownload" getting it to move along, does not work at 3.4 out of 3.44 GB really just stuck.

Update after another 5 minutes it became unstuck now preparing update locally to install.

Same, it got stuck for me at 3.46 out of 3.46 and was like that for about 10-15 minutes. I had to stop and restart it, and now I'm all good.

That was actually addressed in the last Apple TV update. It's strange to me that it's an option you have to turn on rather than a default setting you can turn off, but it's there, buried somewhere in the settings that was not blindingly obvious, as I recall.
My AppleTVs all have a recently played row under the TV app. I believe it’s the first row. After you click out of a video, you can watch that video jump to the leftmost position on the row. It allows you to easily go back and pick up wherever you left off. I’m not sure why you wouldn’t be seeing this unless it’s something that you can disable under settings somewhere. You are running the latest release of TVOS aren‘t you?
I have my AppleTV set to automatically update, so it should be.

I'll take a look for this settings toggle, thanks

You know what really bugs me?

TV App on Apple TV doesn't display a "Continue" or "Recently Played" section. It takes forever to find what you were last watching.

Whoever designed that app clearly never uses it.
...um.

The TV App would be completely useless if it didn't have that. It does. The very top row is the Continue watching. The very bottom row is Recently played.

I got bit by the dreaded "empty email" bug last Friday in Mail. Any box with > 500 message or so listed all the messages, but none had actual contents. Spent about 15 hours restoring from backups. Time Machine was of no use as it doesn't seem to be working with Catalina Mail (and still doesn't -- most bizarre and reported to an Apple tech on a call).

So far, moving hundreds of emails between boxes isn't causing them to go AWOL, and that's really the only thing I can test for. So maybe it's fixed. Maybe. A least I have everything backed up in two archiving programs.

The undo-delete is back working, which is nice.

Still can't completely delete a mailbox -- message are nuked, but the box remains in the left-hand column.

Smart mailboxes still get jacked up with message counts. My Unread box is empty but says I have 100 unread messages. Trying to get ride of that # by rebuilding the index is what triggered my meltdown last week. Good times. Good times.

Still won’t touch Catalina with a 50-foot pole.

Apple software quality is a mess. Luckily for Apple, the trainwreck quality issues on the laptops hid the terrrible software story. But, it’s clear with the 2019 software releases, the press is finally waking up to the story.

It only gets worse from here as Apple learned from the keyboard disaster….they can’t control the story forever.
