Safari 13.0.4 for Mojave: http://swcdn.apple.com/content/down...piw6n8fkjdqv1dxkl3/Safari13.0.4MojaveAuto.pkg

I have also found out that there is indeed a 10.15.2 combo - but not as a standalone download yet. The only way to get it so far is to go from 10.15 to 10.15.2 via the Software Update preference pane (thereby circumventing 10.15.1). If you have 10.15.1 or 10.15.2 betas you will only get the 10.15.2 delta, not the combo.

The standalone combo should be available soon however.

If you want the full installer for 10.15.2 you can get it here: https://apps.apple.com/us/app/macos-catalina/id1466841314?mt=12

You may then proceed to make a bootable usb of 10.15.2 using instruction I posted at https://forums.macrumors.com/threads/bootable-catalina-usb-installer.2183859/

sorry, whats the significance/difference of the combo/delta update path?

Music app now restores where you are if you exit out of an album, eg if I am looking at Snow Patrol, it does not go back to the top of the list. This is a huge bug that has been addressed! Thank the Lord!

Some people. Less than you can count on two hands from that link. Not to say that there aren't other forums, of course.

My original comments still stand. There are a million ways you can have a slow shutdown, and they aren't necessarily an operating system issue.

One user had a dodgy device driver for a 3rd party peripheral. Another alleges his SMC controller needed a reset. No common cause found by Apple in that thread.

Did you raise a support call with Apple in respect of your particular problem?

Yup support are clueless..

I updated to macOS 10.15.2 and iOS 13.3 today expecting the iOS Remote app to start working with Music on my 2019 iMac. I still have the same problem where I can see the contents of the library not not control them or get anything from "Now Playing." I've deleted and reinstalled Remote to no avail. This was specifically supposed to be fixed today—am I the only one still having the issue?

Also, I notice that Music is still preventing sleep when it's playing, which means my screen saver doesn't even kick on.

Those of you with Music iOS Remote app issues:

The trick (ie the way to work around the stupid bug that shows no-one at Apple really tried to use it before they publically announced that it works) is ...

Open the remote app, click settings top right and turn OFF Home Sharing. Open Music on your laptop and then click Add iTunes Library in the iOS app. It'll generate a 4-digit code and in Music's sidebar your iPhone will show as a new device (probably above the one that already exists. Stupid). Click that, and enter the 4-digit code. You're now connected.

Thanks for this. I really don't think they tested it, like, at all.

Looks like at least 10.15.3 before I jump in the pool. Just not feeling lucky enough yet.
If there isn't any feature in Catalina you're pining over, I'd say wait until March-ish. Or maybe wait until Thousand Island betas come out and try those.

That discussion does not appear to relate to slow reboots, which is what you were complaining about.
You know, it would be dead easy for MacOS to shutdown processing instantly. You could kill power to the CPU in a millisecond. But the OS needs to take care of things on shutdown, otherwise you can lose data amongst other things. And if things aren’t quite right – for a whole multitude of possible reasons – shutdown times can be long.
Your particular problem is not one that has been widely reported here.

Update on the Remote app - version 4.5 is out on the App Store, with:
  • Support for Apple Music and the Apple TV apps in macOS Catalina
  • Support for Dark Mode with iOS 13 and later

Also fixes the pairing issue with Home Sharing, which works now.

I made the plunge and clean installed (using internet recovery) Catalina after this update came out. I never ever thought I'd say this: I miss iTunes. I find the separate Music & Podcast apps to be not Apple-like, lots of little things. Also, lots of beachballing when using Preview app, among other things.

Oh well, twas worth a trial. Time to restore my CCC Mojave backup.

I have a 2015 MacBook with 10.15.1 and system preferences says im up to date. Is this only for certain models?

Turned off automatic updates and it showed up. weird.

Any idea if this addresses the popping in the 16" MBP speakers?

It did for me, but you can eliminate it with the Audio Midi Setup app in the Utilities folder. Change the output format from the default 44,100 to something else.

System Preferences shows that you are up to date while it searches for updates. Also, I suspect Apple doesn't roll out the updates for all locations at the same time.

i just updated my imac to 10.15.2 noticed that before doing a restart it shows catalina background is that something i honestly dont remember that
