Messages in iCloud: delivered on the last business day before it'd be a year since it was announced at the last WWDC. Haha.
HOO-RAY! Hopefully this solves the issues I was having with the last beta wherein moving a flash drive crashed Finder, and I can't command-click to open folders because Finder "isn't available". Combo update ahoy?
Build version 17F77 in the Dev portal.
So here's what I don't understand: If I send a message to person X, and then delete that message, assuming this all works like it should, that message will disappear forever from all of the devices I have currently signed into using my iCloud account for messages. But what about the recipient? Will the message live on in their side of the conversation?
Is there a reason why Apple hadn't released an actual web app 'Messages' on iCloud.com? If they do that, does that means it will hurt iPhone and iPad sales?

It also works for text messages.I assume Messages in iCloud will not work if you have iMessage disabled?
What the difference? Should I be going the combo route? Is it the ota/itunes kinda deal?Second the request for the Combo updater.
You need to have your iPhone updated to latest iOS to really see what Messages in iCloud does, otherwise it works like the old way, simple text message forwarding and iMessage, no synced deletion. What happens if I have an iPhone on 10.1.1, iPhone X on 11.1.2, and Mac on 10.13.5. How does messages in the cloud affect my other devices?
