Welp, I reckon this update has finally fixed the T2 issue. Feels more stable now, though it's still only been a few days. But far so good, no crashes.

Is anyone else having issues about battery draining after installing this update? I am on a 2016 MacBook Pro.

When did Apple release the 2018 models, wasn't it in like October? Meaning my 2018 Macbook Pro didn't even make it close to a year before being updated. Come on Apple, this isn't acceptable when people spend thousands of dollars on your computers. How about some money back or something...

That’s great! Please keep us posted.
NOOOOOOO, my 2018 macbook pro just had its first T2 kernal panic shutdown since the 10.14.5 Supplemental Update.

It does NOT fix this problem!

My usual Thunderbolt 3 accessory was plugged in (it's an ethernet adapter), as well as the power cable. Computer suddenly froze, trackpad became dead (always a terrible feeling to tap on that and nothing happens), 10 seconds later there's the black screen shutdown, and restart. The usual deal.

For my 2018 model, this issue is worse than the keyboard one (which was AWFUL in my 2017 model). My 2018 keyboard has been really fine, only one key started not working and got super sticky recently, but then it started working again after about 1-2 days and no problems since.

I have saved my kernel crash report this time (the first time I've ever bothered copying it), but I don't see the point in sharing it and maybe there's private info is in that gibberish...

So what was that, 4 days since I applied this update on my machine and T2 crashes STILL happening.

I cannot trust my AUD $5300 machine that I paid for to host a legal or business phone call (a regular part of my work as a consultant) such as on Skype, because this kernel crash could happen at any time and I cannot rely on that happening.

Instead, I can rely on a $30 Nokia phone from eBay manufactured 19 years ago. I think I'll buy it just to make a point.

If this is not a major failure in a product, I do not know what is.

My 15" i7 MBP was absolutely fine before this update. Didn't seem to matter what I through at it, it handled everything well. Since the update I've experienced so many beach balls its ridiculous. Macbook is ramping up to 100 degrees Celsius just using Safari, it can barely handle the same photoshop work I was doing smoothly prior to this update and I've experienced my first kernel panic ever. I had 0 before this update. I hate that I can no longer trust a Mac update. Does anyone know if it's at all possible to roll back?

I just had my SECOND T2 crash after the Supplemental Update!

No folks, it's NOT been fixed.

I'm now saving all my kernel crash logs, (you can copy them from the "Console" app which will also have older ones in there - see here), and they will be sufficient evidence for this major failure to be remedied by a refund or a replacement (at least in my country). I will print off the logs for the store manager (as well as recent logs in the Console app on the Mac itself - evidence that can't be faked AFAIK), as well as the Internet articles on the problem, if need be. This hardware failure can't be refuted now.

I can verify that the 10.14.5 Supplemental Update (May 22nd) did not fix my Macintosh HD corruption problem nor did it fix my WiFi disconnect problem. About 4 hours after installing the Supplemental Update my WiFi disconnected from the Internet (while the WiFi hardware was still working with an RSSI=-45dBm and a Noise=-90dBm) with nothing attached to the 2018 15" MBP and none of my code/files/iCloud/TeX/Time Machine/third-party apps downloaded onto the 2018 MBP. In other words, it is a pristine machine with only a few Mac App Store apps installed after the 2nd Apple repair replacing the logic board and Touch ID board. My other computers all had Internet connections using the same router as the 2018 MBP when it didn't have Internet connection (it looses its DNS information, a rare, random, and often intermittent problem). I also executed "sysdiagnose" while the 2018 MBP didn't have WiFi connection and uploaded the sysdiagnose gzipped tar archive to Apple Support.

That's not fun. The last 2 MacBook Pro's have sucked. Now there is a 2019 version.

I miss my 2012 MacBook Pro - for real - I still have it, and I'm very tempted.

I have some voodoo going on as well, not to mention skipping (and loud) keys on one of them.

Just poor design all around with the last 3 MacBook Pro's ( although I haven't owned the very latest 2019 version, and maybe I'll wait for Apple to change the whole design again).

Never used to be like that with MacBook Pro's - Apple needs to redo and think different.

1. Magsafe - why is it gone?
2. Stupid harsh keyboards - loud and flaky!
3. sharp edges that dig into my forearm and hurt.
4. Super big touchpad - not so bad, but really not so good either
5. The stupid slider screen thing on the keyboard - for what exactly other than fingerprint recognition.
6. Sharp edges under the fan ports on both sides.

7. Mysterious startup voodoo.

Just had my third T2 crash after the Supplemental Update.

As a result, I've lost all my work for a legal court application form I was in the middle of filling out and had to start all over again, wasting half an hour of time and re-printing documents again out as part of the process.

Thanks Apple. Works great.

Just had my fourth T2 crash since the 10.14.5 Supplemental Update.

Won't post any further ones after this - just wanted to make a point. Obviously the update fixed nothing about Apple's T2 hardware.

But not compatible with iTunes special version 12.6.3 to iTunes 12.6.5 which is essential for some users like me.
So far Mojave 10.14.5 lets you use iTunes 12.6.3.5 (doing the usual tricks) . I didn't try the last update 10.14.6 yet
Has anyone tried it just to confirm if iTunes 12.6.3.5 still work ?
