My 2015 13" MBP seems much slower after the update. Typing lags and scrolling webpages is choppy. Also Finder is less responsive. Is it only me?

This update causes my iMac to take forever to boot up, and opening Safari makes the mouse cursor disappear.

At first I was excited that maybe News+ would be turned into something useful: a place where I could read about important issues of the day. So I tried it out.

What is at the top of the News+ list? An article on Al Franken! Is he even still alive? Who cares? The next articles are equally inane drivel. There are important things going on in the world, and we call it "news." This creation by Apple is not that.

I know 'Dashboard' is going the way of the Dodo, but its been practically killed in this update. Anyone else? Most of the Widgets I used are mostly dead now.

My weather widgets have been dead for a while. Same with Time Machine Buddy. iStatPro still works, as do Stocks and BatteryLevel.

Weird. My weather widgets only died as of this update. But yes, a random selection of others are now non functional too..

If you open Activity Monitor, is there no (background) process eating CPU?

I already installed it on 2 computers.
I am especially happy with the following fixes:
- Resolves an issue that may cause a hang during a restart
- Resolves a graphics issue that may occur when waking from sleep
Does this update finally fix the issue with MacBook Pros freezing after waking up from sleep when connected to an external display via docking station? Oh please let it fix that issue, it's so annoying.

Just installed 10.14.6. A weird thing is that after the reboot the setup dialog for true tone showed up. Did you have this too?

I had it too. MacBookPro15,1

I enjoyed the two-hour wait for the updater's SSSSLLLLLLOOOOOOOOOWly animating progress wheel before finally killing the POS and rebooting manually. Then another half hour of waiting.

Latest top-of-the-line MBP, too.

This update seems to work smoother and overall polished, but I installed the Epic Store and it's a disaster, installing Fortnite compressed several times my RAM to red levels, I had to close and open the installer over and over...

Is this an issue of macOS 10.14.6, an issue of macOS installing games, or is it just because the Epic Store is garbage?

Thank you.

Everything looked fine. In the end I just reinstalled it booting with Cmd+R, kept all my data. A safe boot just to be sure and now it seems to run smoothly.

If you haven`t upgraded to Mojave , for whatever reason, this is the safest bet to upgrade , the final mojave version before Catalina.

Two weeks later than the release date of the last version of High Sierra.

But just because it's the highest version number, doesn't make it the "safest bet" to upgrade to it. If you don't need it, don't. I did on my laptop just to see (certainly not going to touch my iMac) and it has plenty of annoyances.

I have the same MBP as you and updated from 10.14.5 to 10.14.6 yesterday and - so far - haven't experienced either of these issues or any problem whatsoever. Everything is running fine.

how long should this update of macOS take to install? it's been over 2 hours now and it's still at the very beginning. :/
