Has anyone else had their computers burst into flames after installing this patch? After installing on m
I suppose you’re joking at the expense of the more cautious, but there’s no harm in testing the waters given Apple’s software QA track record.

But have fun being clever! =)

The download is super slow crawling here in Germany.
same in France ... Restarted multiple times and getting stuck at increasing file sizes : looks as if we are downloading as it is still uploading and not yet completed.

Also very slow for me, Germany. Maybe it is because of the Unwetter, in manchen Teilen im deutschen Netz gab es heute Probleme. :)
Edit: let's cancel the update and try it tomorrow again... it doesn't even download at 1 MB/s it's like 100 KB or less every second xD

Btw. Universal Control also works together with Logitech Options Flow.
That way you can control Windows, macOS and also the iPad with one Logitech Mouse.

Right at the moment I am trying to decide what test systems I can sacrifice in the name of protecting the mission critical applications we run. I will admit that when I am considering an update, I usually go to the end of the update thread and look for the, "Now my computer won't work" posts. I always assume they are posting by messenger pidgin.

Edited to say:
It's always a dilemma. Updates have security fixes that can stop zero day exploits. They can also crash your system or make important applications unusable. At one of our offices, we have some systems that must be updated the moment the patches hit. We have others that are behind by a significant amount of time because, software our bank makes us run won't execute on the new OS. For the longest time, I had them on two physically separated networks. They even connected to the internet using different modems. For one short moment of stupidity, I thought about spray painting half red, the other half blue. (Perhaps toss a few green one's in the middle, just to keep people confused.)

12.4 on Mac studio.

Still having issues with second monitor not showing up from sleep...

Tho it did correct itself quicker this time. Say 30 seconds vs 10 minutes.

Nice job apple!

12.4 still has some thunderbolt related bugs... USB2.0 devices connected via thunderbolt sometimes drop out when the system goes to and resumes from sleep. The bug is present on x86 and ARM.
Hi, just wondering what enclosures these drives are installed in?

As we know Apple’s m1 max MacBooks don’t have usb-a ports. So older usb 2.0 devices that connect via usb-a such as audio interfaces, apple’s own magic keyboard and mouse need an adapter.

So whether they’re connected directly or via a thunderbolt 4 goshen ridge dock results in occasional usb dropouts when the system is awoken from sleep. I Need to disconnect and reconnect. The dropouts happen Even on intel x86, so it’s gotta a bug in sleep/thunderbolt code…
