Just updating to macOS Big Sur 11.6.1 was worried that maybe I had worked out my early 2015 was too old for this upgrade, can't help but feel this might be the last macOS upgrade she will receive.

I had that, also. 11.25gb, which is flatly absurd for a point release to a point release.

Mine is only 2.56GB for the 11.6.1 update. Still not seeing Monterey.

On the Apple Developer site, all you can download (at this moment in time, Mon Oct 25 10:40 AM, PDT) from the downloads page is the macOS Monterey RC2 build, and I don't see Monterey available on the mac App Store either.

BTW: I think a great demonstration of using Live Text in video would have been to show how well (or not) text could be extracted from the static image of video's own banner page, that shows "10 MONTEREY TIPS" sprawling across the window, wherein the text is oriented at an odd 3D angle, and where the letter "T" is divided awkwardly by the MBP's screen's bezel.

It's up on the App Store, too, but it just prompts the System Preferences / Software Update pane to open telling me I'm up to date (macOS 12.0.1 build 21A559). I sure hope we see something newer...
