This is what I did. Copied that to an external drive so I can apply to other machines, too. Didn't run Install Assistant though. If you cannot wait, use Terminal:
softwareupdate --fetch-full-installer 15.2
and let the package download and install in apps folder...
Can the admins delete the first two pages of comments please? I don't care who all "hasn't got it yet"
Not trying to be a fan boy or anything, heck I only just bought my first Apple product 4 years ago and was using Windows since Windows 95… but Windows is far from mature. There is so many things that stick out like a sore thumb and need to be smoothed out and refined, down to even the smallest things like system menus and consistency. It seems like every update went in the opposite direction though, never fixing anything, but adding on more rough edges. That is why I bailed. While Windows is fairly user friendly compared to most Linux distros, the jank you run into can be even higher. I abandoned Google too, but at least their two main OS’ are clean and refined. And Linux at least isn’t bloated to the moon. Windows today seems more like an experiment unready for public release, let alone a mature OS. I would say it is dead last of all the major operating systems. To be fair, both Windows and MacOS are very mature with [maybe] 1 or 2 features that are "Really" needed year after year. Everything else is just a bonus.
There really isn't anything more Apple or MSFT can squeeze out of MacOS and Windows. [Other than Ai]
Oh wow, I just realized I can use ⌘+R in the Software Update menu

Meanwhile, in Cupertino...
Still no MacOS update here, but in the meantime, I have to say that 18.2 was the fastest installing iOS update I can remember in quite a while. My phone flew through that install- a pleasant surprise!
Still nothing at the home of AppleEveryone will be relieved to know that I'm downloading the update now on my M3 MBP.
I’ve been running 15.1.1 since today it was released on a M1 Studio Max with little to no issues. Yes, of course there will always be glitches to iron out but absolutely no show stopping bugs at all. And also of course you will hear from others who the opposite opinion. Bottom line, if you wait around until every single opinion is positive you will never ,ever update. For those of you running 15.1.1 and the release candidate 15.2, would you say it is stable enough to run on a Macbook that is your business computer? So far I have not updated to MacOS 15.

Thank youThe RC have been extremely stable. I was plagued with issues in 15.2 prior to the RC, but since then it has been flawless.
its really stupid but you have to give it like 5 or 6 diff elements before it creates the pics, and even then it doesn't actually consider anything you ask in your prompt. It just has these basic caricature templates that it fits your face into. How does image playground work, I can't get it to do anything on the Mac.
Figured it out
I wonder if we'll ever again get updates that aren't mostly, if not all, AI garbage
Did they also release new firmware for the MagSafe cable again? I believe the previous version was 1040068, now I see 1040073 under System Information > Power > Adapter firmware and no mention of the latter anywhere online (yet). Mine jumped off and on charging last night, not sure if it was caused by this.
