I prefer just one Lithium battery as well. Lasts long enough, and the it feels lighter, which is important to me. I can't stand heavy, bulky mice.

Iam running 10.6.1 and have ran the software Magic mouse update (64mb).
I have now paired my new Magic Mouse to my iMac (8,1) restarted, and I have no new preferences in my mouse System preferences, as you can see:

Have you unpaired, then restarted, then tried to pair again?

No luck, even tried re-pairing through the Mouse system preference, rather than the Bluetooth preference.

Any more ideas? anyone?
