Not overreacting, but that kind of spam behavior is not what is expected from Apple.Again, don’t overreact.

I don’t know what your marketing preferences settings are, but one email is spam? Not overreacting, but that kind of spam behavior is not what is expected from Apple.
I wonder where this was filmed? Anybody standing around that area when they all started running possibly would have thought that it was a prison break instead of an Apple ad![]()
There is not.I don’t know what your marketing preferences settings are, but one email is spam?
I’m sure there is language in the TOS that you agreed to that let’s them contact you in specific situations.
Did you read the TOS, every word, all of it? I can guarantee you, that apple has some language in there, else they would be open to a class action lawsuit. There is not.
As a habit, I always opt out of EVERY SINGLE marketing emails.
An unsolicited email is count as spam.
About 10 years ago I saw Mac ads on television all the time. The “I’m a Mac” campaign. But I don’t think I’ve seen any Mac ads on TV for the past few years. It would be nice if they put that much effort into their computer sales.
Hopefully the audience won’t take it literally. The new iPhone XR featuring 16 color CGA graphics.I think the colors are in reference to the display, not the colors the phone is available in, hence the shot at the end touting the Liquid Retina display.
Why pay insane amounts of money on advertising with a limited consumer penetration? Web ads are far cheaper and reach multitudes more potential consumers.About 10 years ago I saw Mac ads on television all the time. The “I’m a Mac” campaign. Reminds me of the episode of Mad Men when Don tepidly “pitches” using flyers to sell Jaguar automobiles. They are also desperate enough to send me this in the email!
WTF, Apple?!![]()
I spend quite a lot of time everyday on the web yet the commercials I remember most are the ones on TV. I don’t think I even see Mac ads on the web very often except when I come to this or other Apple related websites. Why pay insane amounts of money on advertising with a limited consumer penetration? TV ads have their use but it is not the “end all” of marketing as it once was.
or even better: "We'll make room in your wallet".Tagline should read: "Make room for price change".
It's Apple's shiny new marketing buzzword. Do not question it!What on earth does Liquid Retina Display mean?
I don't know. But it can't be bad. What on earth does Liquid Retina Display mean?
Why so much hate for this ad?
its a crazy good display, but all you see is red anyway.LOL on "Liquid Retina Display" ::= LCD not 1080p (with mundane 326ppi)
Cannot deny that "liquid retina" sounds out-of-this-world licking good.
But WTF?
I like eastern architecture although this much symmetry was more popular among the nazis and still is in the us.The imagery was gloomy:
Should've filmed in the dark and copied the Beijing Olympics:
- Colored jumpsuits (faded) --> Prisoners
- Setting --> Depressing Eastern Bloc brutalist architecture
- Motion --> Escape/frantic desperation.
