Do these updates require your Mac to be on OS 26? My Magic Keyboard that paired with my M2 Max Mac Stuido is still on firmware 2.0.6. But I’m still on OS 15.7.2.

Mine said it was 2.0.6. Then I connected the lightening cable from M4 mini to the magic keyboard and now it says:

My MacBook was connected to the power adapter, then suddenly no more power for a few second, then the power came, my external display was still on, and I was like what the f***, then saw this post, check the adapter firmware, and figured, the momentary power lost was the restart after update routine.

I lost 7% of my battery during the macOS 26.0 beta era, hope this update will help with that. I mean if that's how it work. I was actually at 90% left, then with calibration came back to 93%.

If I was prone to fomo this could be a time. I have the newest USB-C versions of both and still on 3.1.4. Plugging them in has made no difference. I did that minutes after the article was released.

I'm assuming this doesn't apply to magic keyboards with a Lightning connector? Would love to have an update that prevents my fingerprint sensor from not working from time to time and requires a full reset.
