Did you plug the keyboard into a Mac rather than a charger? Mine went from 3.1.4 to 4.1.0 as soon as I did.
Nope just a charger, but a reboot seems to do it. Or it could've been just the timing of when it came and had nothing to do with the reboot, but I have the new fw, though it didn't improve my typing speed or accuracy one bit.

Updated now to 5.2.0.

Yikes. I am way behind. So much for it updating automatically. 🫤
As noted earlier in the thread, if you plug directly into a Mac that should invoke it immediately. For me it was a reboot, as I was only plugged into a charger, though the notes show they only need to be paired via BT for the update.

When I plug in a cable for my Magic Keyboard with Touch ID and Numeric Keypad, the displayed version immediately jumps to 4.1.0. When I unplug the cable, the version changes back to 3.1.4. Could the keyboard have multiple firmwares, for each connection type, ie, bluetooth vs. usb-c cable?

Looks like a lot of my accessories need updating. Surprised to see a firmware update just for the 140W power adapter.

Wondering/hoping this will help fast charging on Android. I doubt it.
The 140W adapter works great for Apple devices but has only been able to charge Android devices up to 15W when my tablet can do 45W.

I use an Mac/iPhone but a Samsung tablet.

My Magic Keyboard with Touch ID and Numeric Keypad that came with my iMac M3 has version 2.0.6 on BT, but 4.2.0 with lightning connected.
Am I uptodate? I'm lost ... o_O

Amazing! First FW update of a power adapter completed! Worked fine even still on Sequoia.
