My APPG2 sound less immersive after upgrading. I'll have to wait for Aaron is Loud and Wireless to see whether this is just my imagination. I'm listening to a lot of Dolby Atmos tracks and they sound worse now. I think they tuned the G2 to sound more like the G3 by lowering the bass. The bass was perfect on the G2 prior to this. I'm still going to return the G3.

This afternoon, my AirPod Pro 3 suddenly died on their own. I received a notification on my Apple Watch informing me I left my AirPod Pro 3 behind in the office. But they were in my pocket! When I tried to use them in the evening, both the charging case and EarPods buds were completely dead, with LED no longer working, charging not happening, etc.
I contacted Apple Care and will ship back my AirPod Pro 3 for investigation.

Some people online also reported similar sudden “dead” AirPod Pro 3. Maybe I just received a defective product a month ago. Let’s see what Apple says.

That’s happening at the bad time, I’m on a business trip and due to fly back in a few days back to the UK. That means flying without listening to music or watching something :(
Deactivate Find My for your AirPods. This same thing would happen to me on APP2 and it did the same thing on the 3s. Having Find My on the AirPods makes them like a phone that needs to be charged every day. It will drain the battery very fast

That would seem to be a different issue, since dapec says his APP3 case and Airpods would no longer charge at all.

My APP2 took forever to get this latest firmware update. I had to reset them and connect them to my Macbook Pro they will not update at all otherwise!

Here I am on 356/356 despite being plugged in and charging since this article came out.

The Airpods Pro 2 users will be mad, knowing the ANC is purposefully getting downgraded to force users to upgrade to the APP3. Ive said it all the time, again, predicted that the ANC is done due to using foam tips. Which APP2 are able to achieve with third party items. So it is necessary to downgrade the ANC on the APP2, to get that money train going.
That’s not true.

Finally got my APP3 case to upgrade. I set it between my iPad and my iPhone with all 3 plugged in.

Purchased mine on launch day, after some rather strange battery behavior.

I started monitoring the case battery by taking screenshots.

Turns out my brand-new APP3 had a defective charging case that kept draining itself, whether or not the earbuds were inside. 60% to 0% in 4 hours, without any need for charging the APP3.

The charging case never entered “rest mode.”

I explained the issue to Apple, and they sent it to a technician who quickly confirmed that the case continued to drain power.

A replacement case is expected to arrive on Monday.

It started around October 5th — one day I was heading to a workout, and the earbuds were completely dead even though I knew the case had been fully charged.

Tried to reset them, hoping it would fix itself.

Seems like more and more people are running into the same issue, which is concerning for a brand new product.

(This kind of drain is way beyond «find my iPhone», which was also disabled.)

My AirPods 4 (not pro) sounds noticably worse. Theres no bass now, usually spatial audio would have increase in sub bass. Even worse is how it sounds so fake, like virtual sound that comes out of dollar store buds but a bit more higher quality than that.

These redditors and YouTubers kept complaining about Airpods pro 3 so much that the geniuses in Apple decided they will fix the entire line up and ended up making Airpods 4 so bad.

My KPH30i is my go to when i am by myself but i got the airpods for office use. It’s time to trash them and move on.

I wish there was a lawsuit against apple for not making updates optional. I think am so pissed now I am going to find a lawyer who will take this up. Am sure there’s a lot of them looking for a payout.

Apple cant keep getting away with this.

Hi!

I have a Pro 3. The headphones updated to version 8A358, but the case is still on version 8A353.
When the headphones were updated, the case was connected to the charger. I followed the instructions.

Even though I waited several hours. How can this be? Is this normal?

For the life of me, I can't get my APP3's to update from 8A353. Have tried leaving it plugged into to charger for hours, including overnight. Have tried resetting it and forgetting it. Have tried leaving it plugged in to the computer. Really so stupid.
