I also need family sharing before I replace my Tiles. We have a Tile on each of our Apple TV remotes, which are obviously shared.

I am guessing it's just a maintenance release.

With iOS 15 adding much needed Separation Alert, Family Sharing next? With Apple's pro-privacy stance, Location History is probably not happening anytime soon.
Pro privacy that doesn't include not scanning your emails and photos for content?

Isn't every major US email providers scan email and photos for CSAM? While I have architectural reservations with Apple implementing CSAM scanning on iCloud uploader, CSAM scanning will be soon mandated EU and US governments soon enough.

When/If it's mandated by the Government that's one thing. Right now it's not and I guarantee it will not happen in the US

Don't like the beeping? While waiting to see if Apple changes anything with the beeping behavior, remove the speaker coil. Takes about 5 minutes, just search YouTube for how. If you pry it apart carefully and in the correct spots, it'll go back together easily and look like new. I have 3, removed the beeping ability from all 3.

OK, but non family? I just want to be able to leave my stuff where I want to, and not have it beep.. Just like I have for years with tile. Like air port baggage, work, hotel room. Is this possible. from the statements in the tread, it seems not.
Perhaps Tile would be better for your workflow

AirTags drain my iPhone’s battery exponentially via the Find My app. Until that is fixed, it stays in a junk drawer.
And you've done testing to be 100% sure it's the AirTags and only the AirTags that are causing this? Because I bet they aren't. It's far more likely an iOS update that's draining your battery. It's widely reported (just Google it) that recent iOS updates have decreased battery life; I'm one of those experiencing it.

Gosh I hope you are right. Sadly I do not trust our government. Republicans or Democrats.

Issue is definitely Airtag related. Mine is disconnected and in a drawer until they fix the problem.

A good friend bought a couple of these and his comment to me was that I should save my cash and not buy them. Use common sense, intelligence and awareness and take care of things like many people have for decades before these gadgets were invented and all will be good. My good friend is very smart and realises his purchase of these tags was foolish. A few people and Apple accountants will disagree.

Yeah, all three of my AirTags are still on 1.0.276. I'm assuming there's only "bug fixes", though, like Battery and connection improvements, things like that. We're not getting "new features" for AirTags.

...and here we are 11 days later. (saw one person in another thread claim to have the update - but they may be trolling for attention). Thinking Apple pulled it again due to finding more bugs?

None of my 5 tags have updated, even after leaving them right next to the phone for a while...

Still on .276 here and my phone stays “in range” of my AT for at least 10 hours a day.

I’m this case, “in range” means within 5 feet.

tried it, kept my phone on two airtags over the night, still .225 (older) and .276 (new).
