Apple Releases New MacBooks

But the thing is that while X3100 is faster it's not THAT much more faster. And while it's faster it would still be too slow.

Yea too bad huh?? Then the people who wanted better MacBooks with this update to pimp out their computer to meet their standards and have a really great computer.

Then they could pay $2000 to have a top of the line MacBook ...and oh wait.... that's already out there....

i hope there is more to come too. its been so long since any really great updates to the macs. i mean im still on my 1.83ghz mac mini, which i bought as it was my first mac so i bought it as a taster mac, but now i know that mac is for me, i want to buy a mac, but all the new tech coming out, i need to wait for apple to implement it, so as to keep up resale value more than anything else really.i want a macbook pro and i want it asap. although if not today next week and if not next week wwdc. :p
 
Why is everybody whining so hard?
it's obviously they will do a huge update anytime later this year. I think they are waiting until they can do an update that will blow us all away, eg: LED-displays, flash-memory, Santa Rosa etc etc
This is just a small update for those who,can't wait...

SO please: stop whining...
 
Back up again - looks like it is just Macbooks. Down for three hours for such a modest bump. Oh well.
 
the only disappointing about this update is that there is even lesser incentives to purchase Black one. What Apple should've done was to stick 2GB of RAMs in the black one to give one a reason to purchase.

looks like the $1299 has the best value.

tired of this santa rosa discussion,
apple store in italy after posting the new macbook pages went down again and macbook pages are now back to those before the update.
never seen this from apple... made me think of a big hacker attack, that first hyped the rumors sites and then targeted apple websites for some mess.
now apple is fixing everything.

maybe i watch too much jericho and lost..


my PB12" 1.5 SD 1.25GB RAM still does it great.
way faster than a collegue's macbook for office, photoshop and iphoto.

one box sais 1049 euro the other 1119...
someone will be fired for this..

Considering that the macbook pros are rumored to have a brand new case, and an LED backlit screen, it would warrant a small "one more thing" at WWDC.

They'd want to milk that for some good press. explain the technology, pat themselves on their back for their renewed interest in green technology....it'll be a big hubbub....

They wouldn't dare just throw something like that up on the site.

And I saw a glaring typo on another portion of the store. Thats the reason for the store going down again....

So, what DO you want to do with the computer that GMA950 is preventing you from doing? Gaming? X3100 would still be too slow for that. Or is this simply a case of "I want NEW technology in my laptop!"?

I'm still using Mac Mini with Radeon 9200 and that's even LESS future-proof than GMA950 is.

we are whining off of speculation and rumors. go figure. :rolleyes:

So? This is a very positive thing for the revised MBP's :D Next Tuesday perhaps? ;)
 
Oh and keep in mind guys that unlike the days of the G4 at least you KNOW that these laptops will be coming down the pipeline soon. Q3 at the latest IMHO.
 
After a quick check on the UK store. I managed to get on. The "normal" MacBook link showed "From £749" while the new advert showed "from £699".

The config pages showed from £699, then I clicked back and store went down again.....
