I would say that a couple of us have had the issue, but there's no guarantee. Be prepared to revert to b7 if you need it, or wait an iteration.

The difficulty from now on with Mojave will be lack of compatibility with newer apps, but more importantly lack of security updates. It's fine though if you stay offline with that computer.
Not really a big deal, in fact, plan on taking off the Office 365 and use iWork or load Office 2019.

CS6 still works on Mojave for some, but not all and there do tend to be a few glitches. The real difficulty may come if you need to reinstall and encounter difficulty registering. Adobe provides some guidance, however there seem to be glitches that prevent completion. This is one of those situations where sooner or later you will likely be compelled to use Affinity Photo or some alternative if you really don't want to go the subscription route.

Downloaded and installed the new Monterey beta, on 09/29/2021. Now, the external monitor will not connect. Have MB Pro late 2016.

I don’t want to ‘upgrade’ to a subscription and CS6 meets my needs.
I run CS6 in an El Capitan VM. (Ironically, using an old version of Parallels that needs updating.) Works fine when I need it.
Otherwise, I've migrated to Affinity Designer, Photo and Publisher. Each one is about £50 to purchase out-right.

It never was.

So much like all of the recent posts That Apple used to be more user-friendly under Steve Jobs, you are looking at the past with rose tinted glasses.
Hell, who can forget that macOS X leopard was originally supposed to launch in spring 2007, but got delayed till October 2007 because of the iPhone?
Some things never change, and the truth is that A brand spanking new version of iOS and macOS have never launched on the same day, and don’t even launch in the same month more than not.
Hell for the fun of it…

Yes, not the same day, but it was generally within a week until Catalina. Sure beats waiting two months like we did for Big Sur.

Intel 2018 Mac Mini. External LG monitor is not detected neither via USB-C nor via HDMI. If I didn’t have an old Apple Thunderbolt Display to connect, the Mini would now be useless.

I had similar issues with my Mac Pro (Late 2013) and Beta 8. It turns out that video via the Thunderbolt 2 ports (all of them, no matter what cable combination) quit working. Video via HDMI continues to work though. Maybe give that a try?

Big Sur was released about two weeks after the first public beta. I hope we'll have initial Monterey release in mid-October together with new Macs.

HDMI doesn‘t work, either, in my case. Beta 8 detects the Thunderbolt Display (with the required adapter) but not the LG monitor, whichever input I may try.

Downgrading to Beta 6 now. Trying to fix the broken Beta 7 full installer gave me the "corrupted installer" error message.

When that bridge comes I’ll cross it.

I just installed Beta 6 via full installer over Beta 8. Now everything runs again and both monitors are detected.
Beta 7 full installer seems to be corrupted indeed. When running de beta 6 installer (InstallAssistant.pkg), it finishes in seconds and seems to install little to none. Also reboot will not initiate install of beta 6.
Any hints ?

Sorry, no hints. Beta 6 installer works as supposed for me.

The downloaded installer for Beta 7 was indeed screwed up, and you need to update the Beta 7 installer as per the directions in post 20:

Up and running on Beta 8. No problems but the main problem I had was links not working with Firefox as my default browser. I will get around to trying it out once I set up the system.

so you where booted into beta 8, downloaded beta 6 & just ran it from beta 8 or did you boot into something else first and run the beta 6 installer from that other system or did you make an install usb stick?

I downloaded beta 7 and it completed in 2 seconds, a reboot & I was still in beta 8. I then downloaded beta 6 and the same thing happened.

InstallAssistant beta 6 & 7 said they would take ~35 MB of space despite the InstallAssistants being over 11.6GB.

In Beta 8, I just ran the Beta 6 full installer. It worked as intended and I was in Beta 6.

Out of interest where do I get a copy of beta 6 from please?

Look in Applications folder, an installer app can be found there after running the installAssistant.pkg
