The much awaited and needed update from 12.4 is here. 13.2 now matches with iPadOS and iOS
just over 975mb

That would be nice, but it's not working for me. When I tapped the HomePod on top it recognized it as a simple tap and began playing the last paused music, which is not what was on my iPhone. Holding it near doesn't work either. I will have to experiment.

Soooo...how do you customize this for family members? I don't see much out there.

Open the home app, tap on the home icon in the top left, tap on yourself on a device updated to iOS 13.2. Tap Recognise My Voice. Looks like each person will need to do the same, no different to multiple Apple TV account support.

Definitely needed. I just hope to God it improves the abortion that is Siri. At the moment it truly is a sack of ****.

I completely forgot about this. Hopefully this also fixes the issue with the HomePods not being staying connected to the Apple TV (and not even being usable for output from the WWE Network app).

Surprise sleep timer for music is a fantastic addition. Been waiting on this forever!

If I can use this to somehow prevent music from playing on them between 11pm and 6am, this is a godsend.

...my cats like to hop onto the shelf they're on and as you know, cats are capacitive. I can't count how many times I've been woken up at 3am by death metal.

So... it was working for a bit after 13.2 then it wouldn't play any music so I decided to remove it from account and readd... now light ring keeps circling and wouldn't do anything....

I still have no idea how my HomePod works and at this point I'm afraid to ask. It sounds great and works nicely when I throw music to it via Airplay but, other than that, I have no idea how to use it or what else I can do with it.

Hey Siri, set the lights to black.

😂 I think we have to wait until they improve her on iOS so our best hope is maybe next year? 😅 although I’ve heard no leaks regarding a focus on Siri

I'm having a hard time getting Handoff to work. I have music playing on my iPhone X and I tap a HomePod. Nothing happens. Is it limited to newer iPhones?

Neither tapping nor holding it near is working for me. Oh well. I will give it time. When my wife updates her phone I'll see what happens. And I've recycled the Transfer to HomePod setting without effect.

Been reading a lot of people having issues with this update bricking their homepods..only showing a white swirling light and nothing happening so dont want to update yet

Works on an Xs so doesn't need the absolute latest, wouldn't have thought it would be limited at all. Just transferred a call rather than music.

it doesn’t work for me either. I have the iPhone 11 Pro

I reset my homepods in the home app after they updated and now currently have 3 homepods sat on a white spinning circle for the past 3 hours, tried uplugging and manually resetting to no avail.

Ask Apple?
it's not listed anywhere in the release notes, I looked.

It's kind of comical at this point that there's no EQ settings. I had a HomePod last winter but had to return it because the bass is so loud that even at low volumes my neighbors complained.
