****! All my precious text shortcuts are GONE! Thanks, Apple, for spending me two hours of additional work.

Those disappeared on me two days ago, before installing the GM. They're still on my iPhone though.

That was the most painless upgrade I can remember since Snow Leopard (and I don't think I ever did anything but a clean install with that OS anyway). The developer tools still work. Homebrew is borked but that seems to always happen.

Updated and ALL.MY.MAIL.IS.GONE.

Not happy about this. Hopefully Time Machine has it saved. Anyone else have this happen and find a fix?

Same here . . . had to delete and add my mailboxes again to get things running but my mail from a week ago and beyond is long gone.

Aaaad... Fixing homebrew required changing permission of /usr/local. That was pretty nice. Usually my development environment takes some work to get back online.

Thanks for that absolutely GREAT hint, n-evo! Found them (the keyboard shortcuts) on iPhone and iPad. So I can easily copy them to notes and sync. I love you.

So it's not two hours of additional work but only 15 minutes or so.

I've been downloading this since the early morning, and it is now nearly dinnertime.
I am angry, annoyed and frustrated.

I can see why those developers got tricked into downloading the XcodeGhost malware.
This download time is unacceptable, and I am so tempted to try and find an alternative source myself in order to rectify this problem.

Apple needs to wake up, and fix their servers!

You're welcome. You could also wait a few days. It happened to me before and syncing always kicked in again after a while.

Update was fast, smooth and easy.
But now it messed around with the accounts again, creating duplicate accounts for my business exchange server and then, when removing the inactive duplicate wiped out both accounts. And of course it did it with all devices connected to my account. Thanks Apple!

Neither Outlook 2011 or Outlook 2016 will run properly after updating to El Capitan - I have the latest versions on both Outlooks... they both freeze after a few moments.

Just performed a clean install of El Capitan yesterday. When installing office365 today thursday a download for outlook 2016 is available. I haven't tried it but it may resolve the issue.

I not sure. I have a rMBP mid 2012 and had El Capitan GM. When I installed Xcode 7, it kept downloading and installing the docs. It was only a minor nuisance but since I have all of my photos in iCloud, apple music, dropbox, code in github I just decided to perform a clean install after taking a backup to an usb-drive.

I have a mac pro 2009 with our family images and after a backup of the image-folder I'll just perform an upgrade.

So, 2015 Indesign, Illustrator and p/shop are humming smoothly? That's really my one concern upgrading until I get confirmation from someone. Thanks in advance.

Photoshop CC2015, Illustrator CC2015 and InDesign CC2015 all working fine for me. The only App i had an issue with was Extensis Suitcase, but an update to the latest version fixed that.

OH... And Quark Xpress 11.1 constantly quits

Just finished clean install. Only issue is Fuji Xerox printer driver. I cannot recognise El Capitan. I Guess it is just question of adding new signature to the driver. Besides - wow!

Open the terminal application and enter: sudo trimforce enable

OMG the download is going so slow, 1 hour in and barely 400Mb down out of 6Gb. will be down in about 1 day & 5 hours going by the App Store DL.
