The download should be in the App Store. The front page does not show anything but through the link in the developer's page I can go straight to this page in the app store.

Trying to get in early in hopes of someone delivering the answers...

Could anyone verify with certainty:
  • Will it run Adobe CS 5.5 programs with no issues?
  • Will it run Pages '09 with no issues?
Earlier betas had some trouble with these and I'm wondering if these are working now or if 10.9.5 or maybe 10.10 is the last OS for those 2?

For those who want to come back pitching upgrades, I need Pages 09 for the DTP side of that program (something the "new" and "improved" version of Pages can't match). And I'd rather keep using Adobe 5.5 than get on the subscription program for Creative Cloud.

I have heard that Mavericks will run both with no big issues. Can anyone on the final incarnation of Mavericks confirm that too?

Thanks for any reliable answers.

Pages is working fine for me, but there is a thread about it in the El Cap forum and apparently my experience is not universal. The share menu doesn't work though, but this occurred in Yosemite as well.

I'm off the rest of the week so I'm going to be putting this thing through its paces. Hopefully it's as stable as everyone is saying! Apple has needed to clean up their operating systems for a while now and I'm glad that it finally seems to be happening. I'm also hoping that the Metal improvements will help the occasional lag I experience for certain UI things such as switching between spaces on my first-gen Retina MacBook Pro.

Nothing showing here (UK).

I'm downloading it now in the UK. I put El Capitan into search in the Mac App Store and it showed up. Its a 6.08 GB download though, download's a bit slow, but its too be expected at this time.

So does anyone know if public beta testers will get the GM? I'm on public beta 10.11.1...?

search the apple store it appears classified under utilities
Enjoy, it has been a pleasure to use in the last few months

Been on El Capitan for the last 48 hours. My favorite feature is how much faster and smoother everything runs with it being optimized with Metal. It's a noticeable difference. Enjoy everyone but don't expect to be blown away. I tried using the full screen features but so far, can't seem to break my current habits and workflow.

Some fun things to try and note:
• Auto-hide the menu bar - System prefs - general - hide
• Select a file and command+option+delete to bypass the empty trash step and delete a specific file
• wiggle your mouse to make it bigger for a second
• Dashboard is off by default - go to mission control system pref to turn it on if you want
• Beautiful new desktop backgrounds
• Safari - I use "command 1" "command 2" etc to go to my fav websites in the favorites bar. Now it's command+option+number. Go to safari - prefs - tabs to change it back.
• swipe to delete something in Mail
