I was about halfway through downloading 10.7.2 when it tells me that the update couldn't be saved. So i had to start all over again

A 9 hour download...and I have very fast internet connection. Looks like all of that hardware Apple placed in the north Carolina can't handle the traffic. Even on a slow day, my updates from Microsoft don't take 8-9 hours to update Win 7. Geez.

I know I'll get flamed but the fact is that Apple is still not ready for prime-time when it comes to updating its installed base. 8-9 hour download is flat out ridiculous.

update - it now says 20 hours! WTF?
Update 2 - restarted the update, per one of the postes...now it is 59 hours! WTF!!!

That because nobody runs out to download updates for Win...

The GM build for developers was build 11C73 where as the build out today for users is 11C74.

Does anyone have a direct download link to this update?

If anyone would be so kind to share a direct link to this update, as well as to iOS5 I´d be grateful. Have to download them on a separate PC this time.

Would anyone know why, in the iCloud system preferences applet, "Find my Mac" is greyed out for my iCloud account? It says "Administrator authorization required" whatever that means.

My user is standard user, but my preferences have been unlocked. Nor have I found a setting in my iCloud account, etc.

Hope it does not require a certain hardware revision as I have a MBP 2010, which does support location services (and they are enabled).

Thanks!

Getting there

It was saying 4 hours until I stopped it and restarted software update.

Both the iphoto and lion restore updates failed saying they were corrupted. The 10.7.2 update worked fine.

And i'm getting an internal error when updating my ipad to iOS5.

If your download is saying multiple hours, stop and start over.

Lion Recovery was at 221mb of 888 , 5 hours. I stopped it , said could not save. Started over and Lion Recovery and OS X upgrade finished in 4 minutes !

I'm still waiting for 10.7.2 to arrive on Mac App Store to finally jump on Lion.
Maybe I'm the only one who thinks Lion features are quite cool for £21

Yeah, same here—anybody have an ETA for when it hits the App Store? *WANTWANTWANT!*

Thanks,
Nicola
