I lost Airport with this update on my Macbook. Seems to be a problem with some on Apple's discussion board and no amount of reinstallation seems able to fix it.

The temp fix for now is to use the Airport kext from Snow Leopard albeit with the loss of Airdrop. No such problem with my MBA. I have yet to update my iMac.

What do you mean you "lost Airport?" Your wireless isn't working now? Or it's not recognizing your Airport/base station/time capsule? That would be a HUGE bug in itself for this "bug fix" patch.

I'm still waiting to download the update until the dust clears. Before Lion, I just downloaded everything from Apple blindly. Now I've learned my lesson.

Hmm - i am on 11C74 and it shows up. Do you have the 10.7.2 final?

Well, 11c73 was the GM of 10.7.2, as far as I know there wasn't any further release to 10.7.2

so now what? can I install the 10.7.3 combo update over this build of 10.7.2 or do I need to first download a combo update of 10.7.2 and then update regularly to 10.7.3?

It means that my Airport card was no longer recognised and the Airport menu icon was blank ("WiFi: No hardware installed"). It is a tiresome bug. Now I have to dig out a Lion kext from Time Machine and see whether that gets Airdrop back.

Sorted. Found the reversioner and downloading 11c74 now. it's gonna be a long day of updating for me...

Update installed yesterday. I had to restart the wifi on the iMac this morning already. So the update has apparently not resolved that issue for me.

Ok, so after trying it out a bit, I just got to say:

What a useless update to release. Makes you wonder why it was such a ginormous download.

For some reason it changed my Mission Control swipe back to 4 fingers from 3.

They still haven't sorted out the bug in hiding applications, where it should be sent to the end of the application switcher (CMD+TAB). I did report this, and got an email a couple of days ago saying my bug report was begin closed because engineers knew about it. Was hoping they'd have fixed it in 10.7.3 but appears not.

Does this actually fix the Active Directory issues on Lion? By that I mean, can you actually log onto a domain yet?

If so, we can finally deploy Macs again in our enterprise. Since Lion, we have been forced stopped doing so, as AD was broken, and we didn't want to go through the hassle of downgrading them to Snow Leopard, just to upgrade them again at some future point.

We spent ages getting Macs properly integrated in our enterprise, only to see Lion render it all pointless. It will be interesting to give this a test when we have time to go dig our Lion iMacs out from storage.

Can't wait to here the actual living proof of this answer. I have the exact same issue. Lion is a wreck in a networked environment.

So, Mac OS X already has multiple Greek and Hebrew keyboards. I wonder what's being added. They really should update the iOS versions of those keyboards.

Now the interface/menus are also localized in Finder etc. for these languages.

Apple seems to be slipping in their quality of software updates.

So this update doesn't address:

Problems with ambient light sensors in Lion.
Slow boot up times in Lion.
Beachball of death at least 10x a day in Lion. (Not a total freeze or crash but appears and slows down)
Problems with SMC resetting.

It might fix:
Problem with dropping internet connection every hour or so in Lion.
Sluggish Safari

hmmm

so in summary: this update adds support for some languages and fixes something to do with Windows file sharing, but doesn't fix any of the many Lion bugs which have been annoying people for months, doesn't add iCloud document support (as promised), and might also crash your entire system with the result that you have to spend the afternoon going back to 10.7.2 in Time Machine....?

I think I'll pass

I have tried 4x now to download via software update and I get this error message.

I then tried downloading from the link here at MacRumors and got the other screenshot error.

UPDATE: it finally worked! I don't know why it took me 5x trying to download it from Software Update but it finally "caught on" and worked.

Tried downloading the combo update?

new imac 2011, 2 months old previous no problems, installed combo update, now have issues with wifi not connecting after sleeo have to turn off then back on to connect, seems sluggish, getting beachballs periodically. In other words its completely f@cked my previously good working 10.7.2

SMH. And some folks wonder why SL users can't or won't upgrade to Lion.

Of three Macs I work on, one is Lion & only because it was shipped that way. I pulled down 10.7.3 from Software Update early this morning, installed without issue. After it rebooted I shut it down and went back to an SL machine. I simply have no love for Lion in its current train-wreckage (as evidenced by many posts in this thread) state, but remain hopeful that it improves. A lot.

As for folks wondering about 10.7.3 + Active Directory: Don't know yet but should have some feedback today.

Has anyone else noticed that they are getting German localizations in their context menu, and if you go to the services shortcut menu in system prefs?

I am running with English localisation by the way.

I'm so much happier now that I have language support for Catalan, Croatian, Greek, Hebrew, Romanian, Slovak, Thai, and Ukrainian.

Thanks Apple, that was so well waiting for. And before anyone accuses me of being a cynic, that was top of the list of issues addressed by 10.7.3
