Well Apple have totally screwed this one. Now I can't use After Effects GPU because Cuda is now none functional. Reported.

"fixes tha issue that could cause a file URL to quit apps unexpectedly"

if this is that file:3-foward slash bug, then there is no "could" about it

lol .... plus, If goes much deeper than what Apple even thinks.... Is this the best they could do ??

don't you think Apple is causing previous things to break more, rather than fix more ?

This is not the way i thought of "bug fixes"

I CANNOT believe, Safari is still sucking so much memory! I was hoping for a fix with this update but enough is enough. Have to give up my favourite browser and move over to Chrome. Goodbye Safari!

Have you reported this issue to apple feedback? if not, then it's your fault. If so...then maybe others didn't have this problem.

Cuda

Lovely.... says this update now requires that the CUDA driver be updated.... which, of course, there isn't a new update from NVidia as of yet.... :(

Serious Finder crashes after installing the update from the App Store.

Finally managed to install the Combo update from Apple's support downloads site.

So far it's OK.

im have quite some variation in my shut down times (not that it matters) before my shut down time was about 20 seconds, now sometimes in 20s and others its 5s. this is on a 13 inch retina.

Trim Enabler works OK for me. Make sure you click ON again after update.

Crucial M4 256GB, Macbook Pro 15 Early 2011, Crucial 8GB RAM

What's the status on TRIM in OS X? I've been reading news back and forth, some state it's unnecessary (something about the way HFS+ handles garbage collecting on SandForce SSD's) and some state it's beneficial.

I've got an OWC Mercury EXTREME Pro 6G 256GB SSD in one of my optical bays on my 12-Core Mac Pro. I believe as it's a SandForce driven SSD so it wouldn't benefit from TRIM in OS X (?)

Thanks! :)

Software bug quashing is a game of fix one, find two more.

And what do you mean, "this is the best they can do?" if it fixes the problem what else can they do?

CUDA was never functional for you in this machine, as you have an ATI card...

You were using Open CL, but as you see now, it turned out to be incompatible with After Effects. Adobe obviously knows this. Wait for an update and use the CPU while it`s coming. :)

How long should this upgrade take? Mine has been on a whitish/gray screen for several minutes.

Wait a couple of minutes, if it doesn't work, I recommend doing a forced shutdown and restarting the system. A couple of us did that successfully after waiting a while with no progress.

Cheers for that...

Funny why I have a Cuda Preference pane though if not compatible.

FINALLY! Something to solve my debilitating audio issues. Please God let this make Logic usable when I get home. PLEASE.

It sat there nearly an hour. Just forced it to shut down and restarted to the update installing. Phew.

Sigh, when I refresh this page in Safari, I see some weird glitches for a few seconds. The screen will bounce up and down a few times. Anyone else notice that?

I'm on a rmbp btw.
