Windows 7 drivers work perfectly fine in Windows 8 IMO. I installed Windows 8 in January/February using W7 drivers on a 2012 iMac.

I thought about it but read a few very minor issues were present so I felt better about going with Windows 7.

I'll upgrade to 8 now though.
