Updated with no obvious issues.....yet

Edit: when I put my mac mini to sleep, it about takes 15 seconds now. Before it was almost instantaneous. Anyone else?

Back to square one...

Applied Supplemental update

Set 'Put disks to sleep where possible'

System interprets 'Where possible' to mean even if Time Machine is writing to it

Target drive gets put to sleep; Time Machine reports error trying to write to drive; One by one other things stop working

Lets all play Press the Power Button again:mad:

Even if you updated to build 12F45 with the small update file from apple's support downloads page, I'd suggest downloading the full installer form the mac app store anyway and then make a bootable usb because apple might remove it from the mac app store altogether when mavericks is released.

That's what they did to lion when mountain lion was released!

If you've purchased Lion from the App Store, you can still download it from the "purchased" section of the App Store. I would expect the same will be true for Mountain Lion.

Yeah. That's OK for those who have already purchased it.

But for those who haven't, when it gets deleted they won't be able to get it from the mac app store.

They only offer purchases of Lion to those who have a mac which can be upgraded to Lion, not Mountain Lion. You can call 1800MYAPPLE to get a download code and then redeem it in the mac app store. There are a small number of computers in this category.

But no such category will exist for mountain lion because supported hardware is exactly the same for mountain lion and mavericks.

And the only reason they re-released snow leopard was so that people could upgrade to mountain lion and mavericks.

The trouble with mountain lion therefore is that there will be no legitimate way to get it from apple at all, and people will be forced to use torrents.

First thing I did after updating, was delete the mach_kernal file in Mac HD,

(And rended my Mac useless)

Oh well.. That will teach me to be smart. Restored and working again.

That makes two of us I'm afraid.

Also, I still am experiencing external HDD ejection issues whenever my MBP goes into sleep mode. So I just have to take it our of my chest... WHAT THE HELL WAS IT THAT THEY FIXED?????

Surprised this is still available.

Put the GM Mavericks on and am not looking back ever to the Lion days. Lion sucked and ML was a close second.

10.9 is pretty damn swift. Wonder of there are 2 departments working on separate os's, the sucky and not sucky.
