Didn't see this in 10.9.2 but this release allows you to show the User Library folder in view options!

That has been there since the initial release of Mavs. You must have just missed it.
In your defence, hiding the option so it only appears when doing 'show view options' when one's user folder is open in the Finder makes it unlikely that many people discovered this for themselves.
Funny thing is, I used the show view options several times in 10.9.x and i've never noticed until 10.9.3
In case you haven't noticed, there are a bunch of folks reporting waking from sleep issues when using external monitors. My 2 month old rMBP will sometimes freeze, often I have to restart the rMBP to recognize the external (display port) LG monitor.
