I think this because the price was not announced at the keynote like years past and because it was a major overhaul unlike years past. But hey im just some dude on the internet.

WWDC is usually only 6 or so weeks from release.
As the whole schedule shifted back this year, I wouldn't read anything into it.

You know, I never checked that. Was planning on checking the dev forums first to see if there was a known work around.

Ah, I see. I'd recommend filing bug reports anyway because the more duplicates they have, the more noise they'll need to battle before fixing it.

Sometime, they'll provide a workaround in the email. They may do the same here knowing the forum is down.

Mission Control changes

I keep reading that Mavericks Developer Preview 4 has a change where there's an ability to scroll through pages and windows in Mission Control.

I haven't seen how to do that or what that even means. Anyone know what they're talking about?

If you have a multitouch trackpad you can scroll through the content in the windows when in mission control using 2 fingers. If you have an older trackpad or use a mouse then that feature is unavailable and you just spread the windows apart like in Mountain Lion.

Ah, I see. I'm running Mavericks in Parallels without proper trackpad support so I didn't see the change. Thank you for explaining it in such detail!

Edit: When you say scroll through the content, is it when you engage Quick Look after hitting spacebar as well or just in the little windows?

Both.

Great, thank you. Now if Apple would add the option to show smaller windows in Mission Control for hidden and docked windows (instead of ignoring them) like I can with Exposé in Snow Leopard, I might actually finally update past 10.6.8.

Be sure to file a feature enhancement feature at the Bug Reporter asking for this or if you're not a developer, send in a feedback to Apple.

The more they hear from us, the higher the chances they'll do this in a future version.

For now, don't expect it in Mavs.

This is surprising as the dev site is still down. Was it released at 1pm est? That's what time all iOS betas have been released. I don't expect iOS beta until at least tomorrow.

IOS Beta Releases are usually ONLY on MONDAY's.

What is your questions?

It was NOT a Question. It was an Add On to my Previous Comment. I Apoligize for going Off Topic with an IOS 7 Conversation, but I notice a few here did this as well.

I also apoligize for including Windows 8.1 in my post, even though it was just to be used as a comparison about how since Windows 8.1 will most likely NOT be free to Upgrade from Windows 8.0, that OS X 10.9 will NOT be free either.

For Both 10.7 And 10.8 it was free only to paying Apple Developer's (not the one's in the free program just to let you know). That's why.

Considering I didn't spend any money to get Mountain Lion from the dev center without spending $99…

Anyway, iOS betas want $99 but the final product is free.

Also, interesting that Apple has not announced anything about people buying a computer now getting Mavericks free.

I believe Microsoft did say that Windows 8.1 will be a free upgrade for Windows 8 users.

Windows 8.1 will be a free upgrade for Windows 8 owners, but this is understandable, since it fixes some of the issues people are facing with Windows 8.

Mavericks is a bigger upgrade and it might cost money. I think people will be ok with that.

Installed dp4 and my Mac Pro 2008 can no longer boot it. Stuck on apple logo. Spinning progress indicator spins, then pauses, then spins again getting "darker" each time until it appears black and you can no longer tell its spinning at all. Just a warning...

Update: I was able to get it to boot by unplugging my oculus vr from the dvi port.
Thank you so much for that tip! I was seeing the same thing, with the progressively darkening progress flower (also on a Mac Pro 2008).

I read your post and tried unplugging the DVI monitor, forcing a shutdown, starting up and waiting a couple of minutes before plugging the monitor back in, it now seems to be working.

Strange bug.

This is happening on brand new 2012 Mac mini and I cannot recover from it.

Not able to upgrade to DP5

Hey

I am on MacBookPro and I am unable to upgrade from DP4 to DP5 any hint ???:mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad:
