Do you mean this? If not then I don't know.
Well I'm able to see my friends libraries on iPhoto, they make a photo stream album and add my email to it and it shows up on my iPhoto under web within iCloud tap, they can even have it on the web if they check the option for it and it will give you a web address to go to I think thats better then being on the same network cause you can be in another state and still see there photos and comment to it..Is that want you talking about?

This is what I mean: the option to view other libraries within the network.

Forgive my ignorance here, but I was under the impression that Mavericks was going to be giving iOS notifications right in the OS... is that not a feature I interpreted correctly or is that yet to come. I thought this release might bring that.

No, it was misleading in the keynote but there are no iOS notifications coming to Mavericks. They are talking about Apple Push Notifications for websites in Safari, nothing to do with iOS. The notifications would come without having to keep Safari open.

Not sure if it's been there since 10.1 or something but I just realized now that when you delete a file in Finder, the files slides up smoothly

It's new in DP7, but I don't recall ever seeing it before Mavericks.

Apple replaced that with iCloud, My Photo Stream and Photo Sharing so no one has to be in the same Network..To me its better this way cause you don't need a password just add there email they get invite and your good and if they don't have an idevice they can view it on the web if you don't want to them seeing your photo stream you can just unsubscribe them they can even upload photo to that album. Its not just photo but videos also. You also get an notification when one of your subscribers uploaded a photo to that stream and Vice versa. Hope that clears this up :)

Here is a video showing some of the new features

Might as well contribute a bug report as well. If you use PPPoE (most people with broadband do) and want to share your connection over ethernet to wifi users, you can do that. Whenever it has been successfully shared, there is an up arrow icon replacing the regular wifi icon in the system menu. There must be a serious bug inside that wi-fi module, because this bug has been there since mountain lion. Sometimes you need to reboot to get a successful share if you switch or change the properties of the connection you want to share over wifi to others. The icon (up arrow) disappears into a regular wifi icon. No matter what you do you can't share anymore. You need to reboot... THEN it will work. This share bug seems to manifest itself and stay unless a reboot happens. So something in the boot up sequence is required for share to work if you change properties.

In Mountain Lion, we had both features. Photo Streams are nice but the user has to create one to share. Additionally the files are reduced, you do not get the full quality.

I prefer the former because when my wife is creating a photo book for my daughter, she can easily grab any photo she chooses from multiple libraries that are shared in the house. These include various iPhones and Digital cameras that are imported to the user's library.

Gotta question this. The only time I've seen a PPPoE connection used were for DSL connections in out of the way rural areas.

AT&T DSL throughout Connecticut requires PPPoE. I don't know if their systems are the same throughout their network, but it's far from rare.

Sweet ride!

I just hope Apple does something different with iCloud next week. Perhaps full quality shared streams subscriptions. Much like you can share a family calendar.

Probably. If you upgraded from ML instead of doing a clean install, it is probably because of that. Do a clean install and the system should be more stable.

hum, i did it from a clean install (from DP1, a few weeks ago), not from ML, and it was ok, DP after DP until this upgrade....maybe this bug comes from a plugin like Java or flash... anyway i'll do a clean install if i'm the only one who have this "freeze" on safari's windows...

thanks

This is new! Might have been there in beta 6 but it was definitely not there before that.

Scrolling/DP 7

Still a problem when scrolling in browsers; it works for a while then the stops. This is such an annoying bug which has been present since DP 6. I have avoided using Mavericks much over the past month for that reason.

No issues here. Scrolling works fine in Safari. I had issues with iTunes in DP6, but they were resolved.

Still a problem for me....tried deleting mouse plist files and deleting the user cache folder but no lasting solution yet. As I have said, works for a few minutes then cannot scroll in either safari or firefox

Did you try creating another user account just to see if you experience the same issue? File a BR!

Not yet but I will create an admin user account and see if the problem is system wide. I will make a report in any case.

Has anyone noticed that Outlook hangs while the Microsoft Office Reminders app opens to let you know you have an upcoming meeting? The Reminders app takes about 10 seconds to open and Outlook will just stall. I was hoping the latest DP would fix it but it's still a problem.

Yup, it's pretty annoying when your writing an email and then all of a sudden it freezes for 10 seconds for the reminders app. I wonder if it has to do with App Nap? I rebuilt my database, etc. but it's still there.

This and my issues with disconnecting external displays made be go back to ML, for now..,
