Also found three new photobooth effects. Not sure if they're new to DP7 though.

EDIT: After a little digging, it also appears that Cloaking has replaced the cloud backdrop, Hologram has replaced the space one and plastics has replaced the old pop art. [Best picture I could get]

Totally destroyed VLC. Hangs. Same with MplayerX. Whole system seems slow. Powering down and back up to see if it helps. So far looks COMPLETELY screwed up.

I was scared for a minute there! I installed beta 7 and rebooted to find the "new mac" setup! I know every other beta had this but it was like, one step. This time it made me set up a new user but then setup assistant quit and started over again, so I force rebooted and here I am back in my normal user :p

MS Outlook

Has anyone noticed that Outlook hangs while the Microsoft Office Reminders app opens to let you know you have an upcoming meeting? The Reminders app takes about 10 seconds to open and Outlook will just stall. I was hoping the latest DP would fix it but it's still a problem.

I was yawning.
Then read "Apple Releases OS X Mavericks".
Froze.
Then read "Developer Preview 7".
Went back to my interrupted yawn.

I get a laugh out of posts like these, where the person making the comment is just too cool for the rest of us.

Working perfectly for me, Mac Pro5,1 12-Core. Try dumping the associated plists in ~/Library/Preferences.

I change [system] app icons as I've noticed changes to app's are sometimes not noted, if the app defaults to its original icon it was updated. Apps updated: iTunes, iBooks, Maps. Mail updated mailboxes, otherwise not much else yet.

My system(s) are running much better; bluetooth trackpad isn't dropping and stammering, login's are insanely fast. This alert just came up as I was typing:

A cold reboot seems to have mostly solved the problems.

Sure. Many bug fixes are in the GM, not in the DPs.

Unfortunately, that would mean that the GM was created without any of the fixes having been tested in the DPs.

Not good QA....

Microsoft uses more reasonable terminology - they have "Release Candidates". When a Release Candidate passes QA, then it ends up being the GM. But the "GM" label is assigned after the Release Candidate proves itself, not before.

That's a real walled garden.

...or it's known as "tripling down on security". "Doubling" didn't work out so well.

I wonder If this is the end of space themed wallpapers? That sucks in my opinion, most of them were one of my favourites, especially the ML one..
