Yeah.

I noticed that too. It briefly went back up again, but then went down again.

Yet the system status page at https://developer.apple.com/system-status/ is all green at the moment.

I wish they could update that page more frequently. There doesn't seem to be much point in having it if it doesn't actually truthfully reflect the true system status.

iWork Issues

After Installing Beta 3 iWork no longer functions. I can see the documents on my iCloud Drive, however when I click to open them the apps do nothing.

I would think Apple would have their own apps atleast somewhat tested to function before rolling these out. However these do not function at all now.

I can create new documents, however I cannot open documents. Either locally or on iCloud drive.

Anyone else experiencing this. Any solutions?

Sorry. But an external hdd costs about 50 bucks. So your argument is invalid.

He was referring to creating a NEW partition, not buying a HD.
Google how to create a new partition, you can even import all your apps and settings from your main partition.

I think I liked the previous look of weather. Am I missing something or does it no longer show you the weather for the next few days?

I have tried to open a few Pages documents since I dowloaded and installed todays beta. The documents are showing and ready to be clicked to open, but when I do that, Pages will not load. It sits there and does nothing. Anyone else experiencing this?

This was happening to me as well. Simply deleting the iWork apps and reinstalling them from the App Store corrected the issue.

iWork Issues

Uninstalling and Re-Installing did not do anything. When I look on my iCloud drive in Numbers, it does not match the documents when I go directly to iCloud to run iWork. If I update something there, then try to open it with the app, it does not show the updated version that is online.

Also, local documents do not open either, the app does nothing.

Any ideas to resolve??

Nobody complain about things during Apple's betas. I mean, without people complaining they'll totally be able to get feedback.

You seem to be confused how the beta process works. Apple gets feedback from testers sending them feedback, not from complaining on a random message board.

Ah, so we're just not supposed to complain on an online message board? I have to wonder how long you've been on the internet.

That's not what I said. Complaining on a message board isn't going to make Apple "able to get feedback". I have to wonder how long you've been learning to read.

I'm trying to figure out your complaint about complaints, to be honest. For the record, complaining about people complaining on a message board is a waste of time. If you feel as though somebody shouldn't post something, ignore them. Otherwise, you're just adding to the problem.

I'm trying to figure out...

By my count your original comment was a complaint about a complaint. But who's counting?

I'm actually not complaining, just trying to clarify in response to a comment that seemed confused about how apple actually gets feedback. Glad I could help.

Was he really referring to that? I didn’t see that anywhere. And thank you, but neither you nor Google need to explain to me how the Disk Utility works ;-)

In my initial post I only said that it's no good idea to install a beta version on a productive system. It’s not my fault that others mistake that with an ask to buy a separate machine, which you don't need to. And I was saying that an external hardware is not that expensive.

If you buy a mac (the cheapest mini starts at USD 599) and a developer’s license for USD 99 then an additional hard disk should not be the problem.

A workaround for you...

I am experiencing this problem as well, but only with Pages.

I am able to work around the issue by first opening a new blank pages document. I then open my old document and, so long as I keep that initial new blank document open until after I open my old document, I can load any of my old files. After I open the old document, I can then close the new blank document and continue working on my old document.

Nope - Virgin Media. I dont live in the States :)

Thanks, looks like I now know at least one ISP to avoid if I travel overseas.

On topic: Is DP3 stable enough for an iMac 8,1? I dual booted DP2 with Mavericks and it slowed my mac to a crawl.

Mail

It all sounds very pretty but have the fixed the Mail "feature" that changed text size and font when sent to a PC?

It's so bad you can't use Mail for business.

You can have Mavericks AND Yosemite on your mac(book). Just split your partition in two and have it installed to the new one. You can always revert to one partition, and all this is done with a few clicks on Disk Utility. You don't even need to restart the computer for splitting to take effect.
