cubist said:Very impressive updates. The whole Apple line is now at or above 1GHz. A 1.5GHz G4 ought to be a pretty fast machine. The new graphics card is good news too.

the best part about this update. so is september (around seybold) overly optimistic? or mwsf 05?Macrumors said:According to whispers, this should be the last G4 PowerBook revision.
Previous top speed on thge 15" was 1.25GHz and 1.33GHz on the 17".Spagolli94 said:Nice to see a speed bump, but hardly worth an upgrade. All in all, a pretty minor update, which was expected. Doubt anyone is going to be lining up, clamoring for the new laptops. What was the previous top speed? 1.33? 1.42? Of course the super drive is nice...

Their notebook line is for the user, these are the cheapest, fastest, supercomputer type notebooks I've seen. I mean yeah pentium and amd have notebooks and AMD has a 64-bit, but still they are quite expensive. I love how Apple keeps the same great price for upgraded products. Every company should do that with upgrades.tristan said:A monday morning update! Wow! And AppleInsider called it! I'm amazed.
I'm also pretty impressed at how Apple manages to coordinate EIGHT different product releases on the same day. I personally think their notebook product line is too wide, but I guess more choices is good for me and my fellow consumers.
