Does anyone know if you can still do screen sharing and file transfers with the new Messages application?

I know I'll get down voted for this but is all about the money for apple, if the charge another £20 for another update & get the same figures for lion ape is winning. Yes £20 is cheap as you bought/are about to buy an expensive mac but all these things could of been implemented in Lion or given as a free update. Apple is taking advantage of the sheep, me included which I don't like.

Down me vote We are the ones spending huge amounts on apple products while apple gets the rewards.

make sure you have the email listed on your iphone to send to two locations.. the same you listed in the message app.

It works great!

I am waiting on my iPad 3 now, lol. 3 weeks away!

iPhone + iPad + Macbook = MUST haves!

Is really the only way of getting ML through the App Store? There is no .dmg that will be upped somewhere publicly?:p

Sorry, I meant ML, not Messages.

It might be me, but I see this as a first sign that Apple is preparing it's current Mac software for tablet devices. Maybe, just maybe, we are going to see an iPad in 2013 or 2014 running Mac OS X.

No, by then we'll have a mac running iOS.

How about finally putting out an iBooks reader for OSX?? Kind of ridiculous that I can't read the Steve Jobs biography on my Mac...

I'd like to see that too. Seems an odd situation given that OS X/iOS integration is a key feature of Apple's future plans
