This may be true in general but let's not forget the league..

7.1 will deliver so hard you won't want an iPhone 6/6s/7/etc

Apple has almost always released each iteration of their iPod Touch, iPhone and iPad with a new iOS version.

Yeah I know I was sort of kidding. How could one ios version which is mostly bug fixes trump new hardware ?

On the ipad, a lot of the lag is gone
