Apple Releases Revised Version of iOS 14.2 for iPhone 12 Owners

I'm updating 14.2 build 18B111 connected to the iMac on iTunes. This new build I don't have.
No idea, but I backed up this phone on 2 Macs before doing this.

Not yet. Apple is still working on the fix but, I was told by Tim Cook’s office that a release is coming shortly.

I don't know what if anything changed. I noticed it said "Updating iPhone firmware" after installing the update which may or may not be normal when updating through the Mac.

I also get the option to update my 12 Pro Max when I plug it into my mac. I’ll hold off for now.

Maybe, I don't know. I never had this problem thank God.

The release notes I had on my Mac (I should have downloaded that) looked pretty darn similar to the initial release of 14.2. Music Recognition (shazamm), New Emojis, etc. Nothing new/ improved mentioned.

I Don't know. Just strange its not available wirelessly.

Re-releases have never been made available wirelessly. This has happened a few times in the past and each always required the full iTunes installer.

Strange... I have an iPhone 12 Pro Max that is currently on iOS 14.2 (18B92). If I check for an update over the air there isn't one... Says I'm up to date. BUT if I plug my phone into my Mac and check for an update it says there IS one. Should I update??

I'm doing it as I type this. I don't see what the risk in doing so. I like to be on the latest release possible. Clearly something changed for there to be a 19 point build change.

I've back my phone up. Update is downloading & will be installed shortly. Let's hope for the best, lol.
