Love Safari, but why does it run like crap on new Reddit? It always has. I downloaded Brave and it performs much better in this regard.

Old Reddit is fine on Safari though.

Anyone can download the Safari Technology Preview version to try out all the new features.

I’ve been offered to participate to this beta. I would like to know if HDR (specifically on Prime, YouTube and Netflix) and VP9 “codec” will be available to use.

I'm on Mojave and 4k is not available (Safari 14)

I quite like it as it definitely seems quicker than ever before, although I don't like the fact that "add to reading list" on the left-hand side of the smart search field has gone from being a one-click to a two-click process. When I click on the 'plus' button, an "add to" dropdown menu appears.....but I do miss "top sites"

I've installed it. Looks great but I didn't realize it would override my Safari. Unfortunately it is too late.
Do you know how to uninstall it ?

I've been trying to figure this out as well. I can tell you three ways to NOT uninstall it. So far I've tried these things and none of them worked so hopefully it saves someone's time.

Install 10.15.5 combo update
Install 10.15.6 update
Download latest Catalina from mac app store and run that installer
Install Safari technology preview

None of these rolled back my Safari 14 install. Mine is also pinning the CPU to 100% unfortunately.

I guess the only way to move back to the old version of Safari is if you had another install or a backup of your system. You can use Pacifist to see which files get replaced.

You mean that even performing a clean install you cannot revert to Safari 13? Formatting and such doesn’t work?

Yeah favicons were available since Mojave, Safari 12 excuse me, but it was an option and it was disabled by default. Now on Safari 14, it will be enabled by default.

Uf I accidentally installed this while watching sons of anarchy with my other eye. Would not recommend, had at least some high CPU usage issue already.

So Safari 14 is coming in the fall to the not updated Macs which are still running MacOS Catalina and Mojave as well?
