Snow Leopard updates are always a pleasure in this house. I don't look forward to working with Mountain Lion.
The page is blank and will not allow me to add websites. Attempted to copy and drag however all failed to add websites. Attempted opening a Java required site and still nothing in the window.
How do I enable/add websites?
I downloaded Safari 6.04 last night on my iMac.
But this morning (now) I can't find it on my MacBook Air. Software Update says there are updates, but App Store says the opposite. Spotlight is enabled, and I installed the iPhoto update, but Safari is no where to be found.
And Apple's website says use Software Update. I tried Downloads but no Safari 6.04. Have they pulled the update ?![]()
PLEASE BE AWARE THAT MOST LINKS TO THE NEW UPDATES ARE IN-CORRECT!!!!
E.g the JAVA for OS X 2013-003 link Apple Download page provides you the old 2013-002 update from March 4th 2013!!! I'll be waiting untill the correct links are provided!
No trial-and-error for me! :-(
Have you tried to look for software updates on the OS, as opposed to track down an url and doing it manually? It usually does what it says on the tin.
Yeah baby, Snow Leopard still alive.
I think my OS X 10.6 will exist until 2014.
I feel it's going to be over 2014! I'm not gonna believe Apple is gonna make "usable" OS this or next year! As Lion was a mess, ML is kinda good but still not as perfect as SL is. Nuff said.![]()
Being able to chose when to allow Java is a great feature!![]()
Have you actually tried it? If so, please tell me what I am doing wrong.
Thanks,
The Apple tech asked you to try another browser just as a troubleshooting step, to make sure the problem is really with Safari.

In fairness to Apple Service, I have always experienced knowledgeable, helpful, expert advice from this group. This Java problem is the exception. The two service people to whom I spoke appeared to be as confused as I am.
If that suggestion about another browser was for troubleshooting purposes, there was no mention of that. She clearly implied that I should access my two web sites with a different browser.![]()

It's working for me after I restarted Safari.
Make sure Java is properly installed, by opening System Preferences and looking for the Java icon in there.
To test Java, go to this link: www.java.com/en/download/testjava.jsp
... and still no sign of the Safari/iPhoto updates in Software Updates/App Store. Anybody know what's going on?
I know direct links have been provided but I prefer to go through the App Store...
Make sure your App Store user signin has administrative rights. Also, try signing into the App Store with your Appleid as an email. For example: applied@mac.com
I had the same problem with the updates not showing up. Applecare suggested I do either of the above and it solved my problem.
