I'm not sure if the Baffin power management is finished, from what you can see in the X4000 configuration.

A key benefit of Apple not providing an update, a delta, is the initial surge in testing of a release candidate for a full installer.

2nd golden master? There should be only 1 GM, wtf?

Based upon feedback from the initial surge, a second surge of testing – of a different candidate.

I agree that 'release candidate' would be a better phrase than 'GM' or 'golden master'.

… There is no delta update for any previous GM build you may have.

You need to re download the whole 4.7GB again to obtain 16A323. …

I wish they would allow direct downloads like the olden days.

I understand the wish, but release candidate times (such as now) are opportunities to find – and feed to Apple – bugs and enhancement requests that involve App Store.

If you have both X3000 and X4000 cards installed, it only loads the latter accelerator.

At least until you shut down improperly. Then you may need to safe boot and restart to get rid of the CPU-based rendering.

I am running "4" displays on 17" MBP Early 2011:

- Built In
- CalDigit TS2 HDMI: one port at 4K@30Hz on SUHD TV
- RX460 eGPU DisplayPort: another port at 4K@60Hz on the same SUHD TV
- RX460 eGPU HDMI: 7" 720p@60Hz display

The Gigabyte RX460 is not recommended for the Akitio: The DVI port is too close to the edge, so unusable.
[doublepost=1474139173][/doublepost]Problems:

- Rotating one screen activated mirroring
- The delay for confirming the display mode is too short
- How do I switch the cursor to the next screen with a hotkey? Using the mouse to find the 7" monitor in such a configuration is too difficult.

More problems:

- Rotating a display 180 degrees resets its resolution
- Not all shown resolutions from SwitchResX appear on the display panel
[doublepost=1474157760][/doublepost]Update:

The little screen is actually 4:3 20cm (7.87"). Now running it at 900x600@75Hz rotated, which is good for text. SwitchResX. I have to match the aspect ratio.

Pretty cool for Activity Monitor, too.

InDesign CC 2015 crashing on launch.

Adobe, why are you the worst? You do this every year. You're a developer. Presumably, you have an Apple Developer account and you've had access to the Sierra betas for months. But I probably won't be able to upgrade to MacOS Sierra until 2017 because you've held a grudge against Apple for so long I can't even remember why.
Rebuild your CC app preferences.
If I remember correctly you hold down option key at launch.
Google around if I got key command wrong (on mobile, or I'd double check for you)

I've had a small Problem nagging me since about Beta 3: Chrome videos will not play in sync via Airplay. Video in Safari, including Youtube, play in sync over Airplay, no problems. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling Flash and using it instead of Chrome's native, used the Chrome Beta Channel - no such luck. I realize a lot of what is being played is HTML5. Anyone else run into this?

More problems:

- Plugging in a monitor activates mirroring
- Rotation preference gets lost
- Displays get rearranged
- Display control panel crash arranging 4 monitors (on one display)
- No way to top align multiple monitors with a single click

The fact that X3000 and X4000 cannot be simultaneously loaded is super painful.

I've spent hours trying Sierra to load X4000 consistently with the eGPU attached. No luck, it seems random, this is really frustrating.

They're really release candidates. The only reason for a GM2 is that a mega bug appeared late in the test cycle that would stop the release. At this point the 9/20 absolutely must be hit and only highest priority bugs are fixed due to risk. Or at least that's what I've heard while emptying trash bins around here.

Probably not a great idea to announce release before feedback on beta GM is received.

No terminal in recovery partition!!!

Menu bar has only Language Chooser title.

[doublepost=1474244771][/doublepost]Tried terminal from Internet Recovery and it has no csrutil !!
[doublepost=1474245044][/doublepost]I got the macOS Utilities menu back in the recovery partition. Maybe Internet Recovery fixed it.

I lost the menu again! (I think by resetting NVRAM).
[doublepost=1474248957][/doublepost]Internet Recovery did not fix the Recovery Partition menu!!
[doublepost=1474249665][/doublepost]I booted the Recovery Partition again and the utilities menu was there.

I think maybe it ran First Aid first on the partition, or it was the fact that I decided to try waiting a bit before advancing from the language selection page.

If your computer pre-dates the release of El Capitan, Internet Recovery will be running an older version of OS X that won't support SIP/csrutil. This isn't specific or new to Sierra.

Yes, I realised that.
