Has anyone found that ios 11 public beta 2 is buggier for them than public beta 1 was? That's the case for me. I'm getting way more crashes and hangups. Also more weirdness from app updates and the app store.

Edit: Also worse battery life and the phone gets warm at times when charging more often than it did with pb 1.

edit 2: I'm rocking an iphone 7 plus.

Still buggy, and not stable enough to use as a daily driver.....move along, nothing to see.....

Couldn't disagree more. For a Beta 2, I find this crazy stable, especially with almost everything in core changing from iOS10

It is also a farking beta so you should treat it that way.

What are the bugs you are reporting to Apple? It will help us all here as well to get your list.

I stand corrected.

I now have to agree with the folks that were saying the new beta was actually more buggy than the last. Both my iPad Air and iPhone 7 lock up for minutes at a time, sometimes sending me to the black power-down screen and seemingly restarting the springboard.

I'm not complaining—it's a beta. But if you rely on your iPhone or iPad to communicate and/or get real work done, you might want to hold off a little while.

But boy will you miss that iOS 11 Control Center.

Yes, i came to this thread because of those same exact issues. seems a lot buggier. many times all hardware buttons become unresponsive unless i force restart. i'm eagerly awaiting Beta 3. i've also got a 7 plus and i've submitted feedback on this observation

Yup, I've had this a number of times. Oddly it still seems to accept screen input when this is happening, it just doesn't update anything on the screen. For example WhatsApp (which seems to have particular performance issues in iOS 11) locked up on me a few days ago but I was still able to (accidentally) trigger a call which I then had no way of ending.

It's a bets, I get that, so this isn't a complaint but it feels like we're a long way from GM. Beta 2 from my POV felt like a backwards step.

I've got the public beta 2 on my iPad Pro 9.7 and it's running pretty flawlessly. I mean there are some hiccups around app closing and it does run slower for moments...but overall it's pretty solid.

I have kept my iPhone 7+ on 10.3.3...mainly because I don't want to degrade battery life. The iPad Pro has a bigger battery and can handle the drain better than an iPhone can, IMO. I may try the beta 3...but we'll see.

Is there any update to CarPlay that's worth the beta? Didn't remember seeing that, but I just put a CarPlay enabled deck in my car and I'm loving it so far.

Tons of issues on my 7 plus, but my iPad Pro is running okay on it. I don't even have to be in an app, last night I had the Control Center up and was using the flashlight and I couldn't get it to turn off for 10 minutes. I couldn't reboot it or even hard reboot it, it was just stuck. Holding the button on the side down finally made it jump back to the home screen. I have run betas for over a year and this one is the worst by a mile....not complaining either, because you take your chances, but just wanted to point out that I agree with those that say there are having issues.

I am also hoping for the next update to come soon.

Same problems with iPhone 7 Plus. I have to do a hard restart 5-10 times per day. The phone gets really hot and then it locks up. PB2 is much worse than PB1.

I installed it on an iPhone 7plus and the bugs weren't terrible other than the battery drain for me. I'd get your typical little things happen from time to time like buttons not responding on first try or a two second delay in response, but it wasn't anything that kept me from keeping it on my phone other than the battery going out so fast. All my apps seemed to work just fine too. Wish that wasn't the case, but it is forcing me to roll back to 10.3.3.
