Sincerely Thank you! How are videos in safari? In beta 1 they always seemed to time out.

I loaded it on my 9.7 pro, and seems to really be much better than 1. There are still some incomplete functions (mainly in control center) from what few minutes I have actually played with it. But seriously thank you for taking the time to follow up.

Hi, sorry for the late reply. I don't think I've yet watched any videos in Safari but I watched hours of videos through the TV app (iTunes) and YouTube and my battery lasted my entire 7 hour work shift yesterday (yea yea, I know lol. But a lot of these YouTube videos were mainly for listening to the audio). It's excellent. Im very impressed with the improvement in battery life. Also, I left my iPhone unplugged all night and on usually when I wake up in the morning there is still unnecessary battery drain on PB1, but not this time. Had pretty much ~99%-100% still left.

Hey guys, just installed the new beta. I just used my phone to stream something to my appletv. But for some reason I can't get it out of airplay mode. The top of the phone has a blue bar and the airplay logo is on the top right. Anyone having this issue ? Not sure what to do.. thanks.

What if you go to Control Center and 3D press on the music/now playing widget? You should be able to select your phone as the play device there.

People Album seems to be broken.

Doesn't scan even while charging.

Other than that, this release is miles better. Most of my apps now open without a problem.

Just hate the notification pull down, seems like you're locking the screen.

App Store ‘Today’ tab is still stuck on June 26th for me, I thought it was stuck on beta release day but still on June 26 with Beta 2.

PB2 seems a lot more slow and unresponsive than PB1. Can't back out of apps, access home screen nor lock my phone. Have to force restart to get it back working again.

I took that as more of a “we’re not putting resources against updating the new App Store just for beta” than a defect thing...

This latest beta has improved things, But GM? you cannot be serious? It's got a fair way to go before that

I’ve been using it on my iPad Pro 12.9” which is my main computer. Aside from some occasional visual glitches in Control Centre, it works perfectly and performs really well.

I haven’t been following bug reports but I haven’t come across anything significant, using iOS 11 Public Beta every day. What I have read is that the iPhone version is far behind that of the iPad which to me seems very polished and stable. I haven’t installed it on my iPhone so I can’t speak to that.

iphone has restarted twice today whilst in use non calls use

never had this type of restart with previous betas

any other reports of random re starts

I have installed PB2 on my iPhone 6 but I experience much worse performance then what I saw on youtube videos regarding this model. It's my first beta of ios 11, so maybe my phone is still making some conversions and adjustments in the background? I installed beta yesterday evening and today my battery died around 12 o'clock. usually I have like 10% when I'm going to sleep at 23 so....

I check my CPU usage and when idle it shows 35-60% of usage all the time. What's your experience with PB2 on iPhone 6 and also what's your CPU usage when idle?

Certainly not out of the ordinary for an early beta. I'd make sure you report such an event in the feedback app as it will possibly include a log of the events preceding what is basically a full crash and recovery of the phone.

I just noticed you can now look at all of your past years of Health Data in a chart!

Previously only 12 months of data was available graphically, but now I can see how much weight I actually gained since 2014 :(
Oh noes.

I looked better when it only hinted at a year of letting myself go.:D

There also seems to be a new body measurement now.....: Waist Circumference!

thank

Anyone still having Watch connectivity issues with this release? I receive texts/alerts sporadically, all while my watch still says it's not connected to my phone in the Bluetooth tray. Doesn't even recognize my watch to manually connect.

THIS. Absolutely. PB2 seems like it should have been PB1 as far as crashing, unresponsiveness, etc. To the apologists who froth at the mouth while screaming, it's a beta!!! Yes, it's a beta, but it's downright careless to release something in this bad of shape. This is alpha form.

upgrading from public beta 1 to public beta 2 failed for me. I installed it, pressed the home button to upgrade (as it said), and the install hung at the end. Left it overnight, no dice. Force shut down, started "upgrade" again, still no dice. Read somewhere that the SIM card might be a problem, so I'll try replacing that, but otherwise, I guess I'll have to start again

I’m having the complete opposite experience with everything but battery life on my iPhone 6s when I’m using LTE for an extended active browsing session in Safari. It’ll burn through the battery like crazy unless I shut off WiFi, Bluetooth and Location Services. Didn’t have that issue in PB 1 but outside of that every other annoying bug I came across in PB 1 so far seems to have been addressed with PB 2 on the two devices that I’m running it on.

You may want to consider rolling back to iOS 9 until Apple releases a few more PBs but if you can tolerate it the best thing to do is to send in those feedback reports. The more info testers provide the faster these issues will be addressed.

I continue to have no major issues on PB2 after experiencing no major issues on PB1. No crashing, no unresponsiveness, etc. I have an app or two that crash, but blame that more on the apps not necessarily being updated for iOS 11 than the beta itself. Still no regrets about rejoining the public beta after sitting out on iOS 10 beta.

PB2 fixed a lot of bugs and works so much better than PB1 still have a ways to go. Screenshot PIP is very slow unresponsive. Also cropping images seems to pull down the notification center or does not work well. Overall much happier with PB2.

This happened me on PB1. I did a restore yesterday but haven't had my watch on since. I will see if the restore worked over the weekend at a festival.

Very annoying problem btw.

The top and right of the cropping tool seems to be very inconsistent. Sometimes I can "grab" them, sometimes I can't. I've found the bottom and left sides to be more consistent, and then recentering the image if needed. In PB1, I couldn't get the top and right at all, so was pleasantly surprised to get them sometimes in PB2.

Pretty OK for me so far on iPhone 5 SE, lots of little display glitches but nothing too serious. Can't decide if I like the new screenshot functionality. Maybe once the "Done" button is easier to press lol

Anyone else hating the extra tap to get back to keyboard after talk-to-text in Messages? WHY OH WHY would they add a step? To make the little voice graphic bigger?

On my Pro 10.5”, ios is stuck at build 15A5304i, while the Air2 is 15A5318g...
tried rebooting...

ah, re installing the beta profile fixed it.
