On Beta 1, if you have a Vodafone USB Stick the NetManage application is not installed successfully - I found out the framework files are not copied, and manual copying is refused. Also if you use MyDrive / TomTom on Beta 1 updates will fail on your GPS.

I've tried the new Office 2016 that was released for Mac users just a few days ago. It work very well with El Capitan. I guess the 2011 version needs to be updated to work with El Capitan.

Yes, Office '16 works very well for me too. Though I have had a few hang ups with Outlook. Just restarted it and it's good to go.

I hope it improves the battery life of an iPhone 4s, just installed 8.4 on my wife phone and it's dead in less than a few hours. Have switched everything off and a reset but it won't hold a charge...cheers Apple

I can't get the El Capitan update to appear in software update. I re-downloaded the 1st beta from the app store and installed it and the update still doesn't appear. Anyone else having this problem and know how to fix it? Thanks.

I had this problem and used a direct link posted in the "Downloading Beta 2" thread. Couldn't get the second beta to appear no matter what I tried. You aren't missing much though. I haven't found a single difference yet (people say Mail works better but I use Thunderbird).

I have had no problems with Libre Office. I saw your post and thought i'd see if mine worked and it does.

Every document I open, LibreOffice freezes entirely. I'm running the most recent version of 4.4. PB1 did not do this.

After upgrading the iPad Air 2 with iOS9 public beta (and easy upgrade to beta 2) I notice that my super snappy iOS8 on the iPhone 5s now feels slow already. Perceptive magic, go away! (im a fan of ios9 btw, minus the multi task app switcher)

Nope, McIntosh D100 was plug and play with the Mac as far as I know, could be wrong. Does the Mac search for drivers online and download them automatically when you connect devices?
Hmm good question, I allways go to the manufacturers web site to get the drivers anyway ( habit acquired with Windows where the default drivers tended to be bad/limited/old)

Hi. Sorry I'm probably being a bit thick here. I have looked on the Apple Beta page and looked for updates on my phone, but can not find iOS 9 public beta 2. Is it not available in the UK?

Considering it worked fine with El Cap PB1, I'm sure it's not their problem. I will look forward to PB3 and whether this will fix it.
Sorry I didn't check back with the thread for a while.

At first I had freezing problems when opening a document, but then traced it to the fact that I was opening a file shared from my Mac Mini on OS X 10.4 (to my MacBook Pro with El Cap PB2). I believe I had to change the share from read to read/write.

I'm actually still on OpenOffice for now, but am planning to move to LibreOffice in the future. So I didn't test LibreOffice extensively. But both were freezing with the same symptoms before I changed the permissions on the share.

I suppose - technically - that it should still function on a read-only share. But since I have no need for such an office document share right now, I didn't think of it as a bug, but rather a user configuration error. Perhaps I should still report it?
