Apple Releases Second Public Betas of iOS 17 and iPadOS 17, Revised Developer Beta

First public beta wasn’t as great as I was used to be in my iPhone 13, I even had a gigantic system crash with windows floating all over the place and unresponsive phone screen free a CarPlay ride which was unusual for a public beta, dev is better for me.

I really wish they would release a public beta of iPhoneOS 17.

It is a second public beta and second wave revision of developer beta 4

I'm getting repeated failures to install over beta 1 on an iPhone 14 pro max. Plenty of space. Just a generic error and back to beta 1.

Restore using iTunes download the ipsw of public beta 2 hold the buttom restoring or upgrading and pick the ipsw beta downloaded

It has happened again. Don’t know was wrong with IOS 17 beta 4. The original release bricked my iPhone. The re-release did the same thing. After installing the beta, when the phone boots up & goes through the hello screen, it gets stuck on that screen. Had to restored again. I’ve heard people were having problems with Mac OS Sonoma after installing it(the computer will be unusable) haven’t personally deal with that, yet having problems with the installation of iOS. Am I the only one?

I have something similar and did a hard reset and it worked. My main issue is iCloud is not working on iOS public beta 2. I got my last iCloud backup right before update and after update nothing. Tried everything I could. Nothing. I did post it in feedback but of anyone else is experiencing this please let me know

I was able to backup to iCloud after updating to beta 2. It is taking a lot longer to back up iCloud tho.

Did they fix the bug when your on a call and call waiting goes off where you can now respond with text like it used to be? Its very annoying.

I noticed that and I thought it was just me. I’d have to wait until someone calls and I’ll report back.

When I try the minimalistic settings the phone dialer won't show up and also in messages unless I am responding to a message I can't send out a new message.

A lot of people… and even more will use it when they know what they’ve said has been or is being live transcribed. It is cool to see that feature coming to iOS 17. Just because some people don’t use voicemail doesn’t mean everyone doesn’t use voice mail

PB2 still seems to have too many issues from what I can see… I live in hope PB3 is more stable, I have DB4 on a secondary device but really keen to try it on a primary device! Just not yet…

Me. Unless a number is recognised or I’m expecting a call due to say having a delivery booked, then I will not answer my phone. I get enough unsolicited calls that I’d rather people leave a message if they really need me, and I’ll call them back.

My phones for personal use so I have no need to answer every time an unrecognised number pops up.

My block list is in the hundreds now. I'm finally at a point where I usually get calls I'm actually expecting now. So much telemarketing crap.

Anyone else unable to get any of their devices to update? When I press update now, it asked for my passcode, and then did nothing. Settings crashed about 45 seconds later. macOS says there is no update available so I'm not sure how to fix it.

Does anyone have an issue in Safari where when trying to go to a ‘Recent’ site, or even type the URL, all Safari does is reload the current page you’re on?

This seems to have started with Dev b4v1 for me.

Also, after the update to v2 today, my keyboard is just acting weird. i.e. it won’t auto complete or if it does it changes it to something like ‘SaFari’, or is just all around unresponsive?
