Apple Releases Second Public Betas of iOS 17 and iPadOS 17, Revised Developer Beta

how do I keep both first and last name during incoming call? it only shows me first name and I can't keep guessing who is it
 
Couple of things I’ve noticed is that 1) the icons have changed on the new menu in messages, 2) siri doesn’t/ can’t listen to me to continue asking questions. Worked well in the first public beta, 3) keyboard doesn’t glitch on fb messenger, 4) contact pictures/ posters can glitch or is slow

Latest beta of iPadOS 17 seems to have broken AirDrop, whenever I select a recipient it just stays on "Waiting" and never initiates the file transfer.

Can confirm, iCloud Drive uploads are completely nonfunctional.

I wanted to share a file from my iPad to my phone so first I tried AirDrop, but it would get stuck on "Waiting...". So I then tried to share by uploading to iCloud Drive and downloading to the phone, but when trying to copy any files to iCloud Drive it also gets stuck on "Waiting...".

I having similar issues with iCloud. So I was on dev beta 2 and had app problems. But could still back up to iCloud. So I decided to skip beta 3 and move right to public beta 2. Everything is great but I can’t back up my device to iCloud. I will try your problem and report and can you see if your iCloud backups are working. Also if I have a back up of iOS 17 dev beta 2 can I restore to that from iOS public beta 2??

Ok I moved a couple pictures and docs from phone to iCloud Drive no problem. Deleted them no problem. Just can’t get my backups working. Really pisses me off. I need those working. Any help would be great
 
only issue is that Wipr (Safari Extension) is still broken. hopefully they update the app.

otherwise iOS 17 is running great for me. i only had a few small issues on PB1 and they are resolved now in PB2.

Also, after the update to v2 today, my keyboard is just acting weird. i.e. it won’t auto complete or if it does it changes it to something like ‘SaFari’, or is just all around unresponsive?

This has been driving me insane. I’ve had it since dev beta v2.
 
am I really only one who cant do a icloud backup. I was coming from ios 17 dev beta 2 and went to public beta 2. I skipped dev beta 3. before update I backed up phone as it should. it upgraded to public beta 2 and now icloud backup wont work. it tells me backup cant be completed. can I restore from my dev 2 backup or should I wait
 
I’ve noticed since being a developer from the 2000’s and with every iOS release, after installing a new DP my iPhone is crazy fast then gets slower as the beta’s are released. I’ve noticed this on my then new iPhone 13 Pro and now iPhone 14 Pro especially. 🤷🏼‍♂️
 
Is it that much more stable than iOS 14, 15 and 16 ?
Because reading the release notes, there's more known issues than ever before. Maybe they're just being more transparent about them?

Did that and I cant believe I cant back up my phone after this upgrade to pub beta 2. I want to restore my phone from the dev bets 2 ios 17 i have but apple support is saying i will then restore to ios 16 and not to 17 as thats what my back up is from. id this true
 
Once on a call, when I get another call, I can no longer send that second caller a text message response saying I'm on the phone like before. I have to send them to voice mail, then go text them. It's really annoying.
 
I have iOS 17 pubic beta on my 14 Pro Max. I also have AirPods Pro 2. Should the AirPods automatically install the firmware upgrade for the Conversational Awareness feature or do they have to be enrolled in the beta program?
